Greetings. Same deal as has happened before. Yes, full car kit, not just the radio.
Note there are general-use CC discount codes out there as well, esp if you're spending $200 & up, w/ them you could make a little even after tax.
I've posted in another thread that it's still pretty easy to get $77 for year's service (I got it on 4 units at once!).
I should practice what I preach, but also don't forget FAT CASH!
Aside: I just bought 3 of these the other day for like @ $13 AR (after 10% coupon on the full $70 pre-rebate price). (I also got a $24 GC after the guy cavalierly said it'd be i had to wait "5-10 minutes" 40 minutes after ordering for pickup.)
Anyway, I'm interested in seeing the interpretive math the manager does when I ask for the pricematch. The GC won't factor in, but the 10% coupon probably will. Best case is I get 110% of $20 + tax per unit. Worse seems like it'd be 110% on $13 + tax.
Update: CC gave me the 110% on $13+tax, which doesn't surprise me.
This is way better than the FAR offer from C-USA this week and last week. (I was in on that and now I'm returning those.) C-USA's deal is only on the radio without the required dock. This one at CC has the radio AND mobile dock included.
You can possibly make this CC deal even sweeter by using this rebate form. It allows three rebates per household* instead of just one. Oddly enough, the same rebate mailing address and offer code as CC's rebate form, and neither seems to require an activation to get the rebate (though the radio won't function otherwise.)
As for activation, you can use the promo code XMFREEWEB for free activation, or even better, call by phone 1-800-XM-RADIO for activation and use the code xmscion03 for free activation and 3 free months of basic service (thanks colombo3). I did the activation by phone with this code last week and it worked, no problem. Don't know if this is only for new subscribers (so may be an issue beyond the first unit activated.)
[* I'd appreciate it if someone would look at the rebate link and verify my interpretation that this will work on a purchase of three XCS9 radio kits.]

It says 1 rebate per reciever purchase, which I think we decided in the other thread meant you can get 3 rebates if you purchase 3 different models, but only 1 rebate on the XCS9.

Heh heh. Yup, I'm not sure what "we decided" means. But do note that you should submit each rebate in its own separately mailed envelope (the form *IS* specific) as to that.

It's never been clear to me if you use the free trial such as the XMSCION03 whether that would limit you to future new subscriber promos. Maybe somebody can shed light on that. Guess it depends on your inclination to pay < $6.50/mo (albeit for 12 mos) via the $77 deal or how uncertain you are you'd like the service...
SupTech said: It's a bit warped ..but you can use these units as a free FM transmiter only. Use the Aux in to feed your MP3 player of choice into your car stereo.
Or, use it to put the soundtrack of your portable DVD player into your car stereo for a sensurround experience...

I got in on this a week ago. I have no use for the car kit, but I want to hook it up to my home system. I don't want to shell out $35 for the home kit when it only looks like I'm getting a different cradle and an AC adapter. The only thing I really need is the AC Adapter. Has anyone successfully used one of those universal AC adapters? I know the specs of the car adapater are 3V 1000mA DC, but I'm worried about the polarity.
I purchased one on BF, and it seems like i cannot buy again. Nice find though.

AC adapters: search with "Audiovox" to see the details in the other thread

There's a 3 unit limit for rebates, so if you only purchased one go ahead and buy another, or if you already bought three, go make new friends
here's my status on three rebates for THREE of the XCS9 units:
065970 XM Listen Large $50 Rebate (10/2 - 12/31/05) XM Satellite Radio, Inc. 065970 XM Listen Large $50 Rebate (10/2 - 12/31/05) XM Satellite Radio, Inc. 065970 XM Listen Large $50 Rebate (10/2 - 12/31/05) XM Satellite Radio, Inc.
All three now say: XM Listen Large $50 Rebate (10/2 - 12/31/05) Rebate Number 065970 Rebate Amount $50.00 Currency USD Submission ID 6XXXXXXX Status Your rebate check was mailed on 15-Dec-2005. Please allow at least 30 days for delivery. Please allow 8-10 weeks for processing
These were mailed out on 10/12/05, so almost 8 weeks to the day for them to issue checks.
BTW, I purchased the home kit also at CC (now $34.99):

I bought the AC adapter at Biglots for $4. It works perfectly. -E.
Since these are FAR, you could buy 2 of them, and that way you could have a cradle / backup parts for home (or another car) (so what if you don't activate the radio unit itself - fleabay it if you like).
Doing this, you could use the car adapter in conjunction w/ this Belkin product or others like it. (Radio Shack has one, or at least they did in June, but I can't find it on their site). That way, you don't even have to worry about polarity or amps. Just plug your spare cigarette adapter into the AC adapter & your home/spare cradle, and you're good to go! Would also get you to a home solution cheaper than the Audiovox alternative.

My plan exactly! A free dock for another car or for home (by adding a power adapter)Also, you can activate the initial radio under the promotion (above) and get 3 free months of service, then cancel at it after 3 months, then activate radio #2 for three months, etc. for radio #3. I will be trying it...I'll let you know if it works.
I have an apline DVA300 DVD player in my car, and it is XM ready, would I be able to plug one of these into the Processor unit or would I still need to mount it on my dash?

For those who purchased 3 units on one receipt, did you send three separate rebate submissions or just one for all three units? TIA

Can we still get in on the rebate if we got the Terk Tuner for FAR not too long ago? The rebate form is the same and it says 1 per person/per household?
Can anyone comment?

what a better way to use the $50 mechant card I got from the PAP2 deal. Thanks OP
In for 3, one will be a gift if it gets here in time (doubtful, so probably more like a late gift) the other 2, probably gifts in the future, I don't plan on paying for radio anytime soon, I just don't listen to it often enough to justify it.
Edit: Thanks OP.

Just activated today with the xmscion03, worked like a charm.
I'm going to pick up 2 more tomorrow so that I can put a setup in my house and office.

Can you give the brand and model no. of the AC adapter that you bought at Biglots? TIA. Also, has anyone tried using the Kensington Anywhere (so called "universal") adapter to power this? What tip works?
Not sure which AC adapter is being suggested, but let me suggest one like the Sima PowerMax available @ Amazon & elsewhere. Lets you plug the lighter adapter directly into it and you plug it into the wall. I should mention I bought a lesser one @ Target which I believe only threw out like 600 mA. It was not enough juice. Unit powered up but couldn't get signal.
This adapter gives 1000mA, which is the same draw needed by the Audiovox. I haven't received it yet, so if for some wacky reason it doesn't work I'll update.
Finally, RadioShack has a similar product (also 1000 mA) for $26 or so. I suppose you could get 1 of those to confirm it works and then discover a better deal & return it...
I was going to order a ClipXT antenna for my Pioneer Airware from that site and shipping was just under $8. You can start the order process and get the shipping charge before final check out. You can always cancel the order bfore final chck out.
Any standard rca plug to mini jack adapter cord will work for connecting to your home stereo (I'm listning to XM through my stereo as I type this). You should be able to get one from rat shack for a few bucks. FWIW, They might also have a cheap power adapter. Just take your car adapter with you so they can make sure voltage, polarity, etc. are the same.
