I got the OEM promotion code to use for 3 month free, and activation, she asked for cc info, I verified with her like 3-4 times over the call that I will not be charged anything, she said yes.
Then she also mentioned the $77/6month program, she mentioned she could roll me over in to the program after the 3 free months, I said no thanks, let me try it first 3 months.
Now to watch the CC if there is a charge, used AMEX Card for extra protection.

I just called XM Radio and asked for the $77/yr promo and the person I spoke with said they do have a promo for $77/yr but I would have to have a code for it. He said he could give the promo to me but if the computer didn't have a code to verify the promo when it came to billing time then it would kick out the $77/yr and charge me the $143./yr. Has anyone been able to get the promo without the code and have the correct amount ($77/yr) charged to your credit card? I don't want to try to get the deal if only to have my card charged for a higher amount. |

I got "OEM001NNA" promotion code to use for Free activation and 3 month free, no cc asked.
I'm sure we(FW) will find some good deal on service/subscription by then.

The Code is actually for Infinity Car's but worked with my GM

Also worked for me with any questions. They did ask for credit card info, but agreed to just send an invoice after third free month instead. Recommended calling back with cc info before free months are up, but hopefully a better subscription deal will come around by then.
I was told I needed to speak to sales at 866-746-7961 to see about the free Roady XT when you activate any account (see other thread. sorry don't have the link handy). The csr told me that it is only the receiver without a car or home kit and she couldn't do it over the phone, I would need to go back wherever I saw the promotion online to order. I guess I will need to try calling later and hopefully get someone else. |

That is weird. I called and was told the promotion code has to be used together with a confirmation code. Anyone met the same problem?

Do you need to install and turn on the unit first before activation?
Do you need to turn the unit on for more than 25 mins after you activated it?

I just used the scion code and got the 3 mos free with free act. - no credit card or scion needed...she said you have to be offered the 77 promot by mail or phone to get it.

Please excuse me if this has already been asked before, but I'm getting a little dizzy reading all these different threads on XM activation. I got in on the CC Audiovox XM Plug-n-Go combo kit, which I would like to activate at some point. From what I've read so far it looks like the best offer for me at the moment would be the free activation + 3 months free subscription (OEM001NNA/XMSCION03).
1) Now is there a deadline I have to meet to be eligible for this deal (for activation of your XM receiver)? In other words does this deal end today? or is Dec. 31 just the deadline for the $50 MIR eligibility?
2) If I do need to activate today, can I do so just by calling in with the code without actually taking it out of the box? (I really don't have time to play with this the next couple of days) With this I mean can I activate the unit while it's dormant - or do they need some kind of feedback from the unit?
3) How can it be powered if you haven't installed it in your car yet (and don't have the home kit)? This pertains to the questions above in that I'd like to activate it today (in case the codes expire by midnight), but I don't really have time to do the full installation.
Once again I'm sorry about all these newbie questions, but I would be very appreciative with any help/suggestions.

Was told almost the same thing...CSR supervisor told me the $77 promo already expired. But my friend who had activated his in the morning that I called got it for $77, and I tried to activate mine in the evening, but I did not get it, was told it was targetted, but my friend only mentioned it.
Oh well, I just signed up for the OEM code, for free activation and free 3 months...hoping something will come up in the next 3 months...or the same supervisor that I talked had promised to call me on Monday for a better deal...we'll find out. |

There is a deadline of 12/31 for free activation. I don't know what the expiration date is for the OEM001NNA code. Since I was unsure of the expiration date, I just activated my radio. I also got the Audiovox XM Plug and Play. I called in with the code ....without actually taking it out of the box! What you will need is the 8 digit XM ID # which can be found on the bottom of the box just above the serial #. I also didn't have time for full activation at this time. The CSR said that if I had any problems to just call them. I did give my credit card info but she stated that I would have free activation and 3 free months.

I activated one with 3 months but want to activate the other, but not sure if I can activate another under the same account.
