ArgoNavis, I use firefox and print shipping labels for both USPS and UPS through paypal. After you click "print label" you simply click "reprint label" and it will work. You don't need to use IE. |

urbansoulfashion said:How long has this bug been discovered? I'm just afraid that someday PayPal may sniff into our discussion and fix the bug on this API.It's not a bug, they're aware people are using it. Paypal doesn't care but would act to close it if the USPS objected. This "loophole" has existed for almost 2 years now. |

There is a MUCH simpler approach to accomplish the same thing, and a whole lot more. This thread, posted back in March of 2003 details the USPS Shipping Assistant. The good news is that the USPS has decided NOT to discontinue this service in January, as originally planned. |

Pro's & Con's to this "Free" way of shipping
PRO: 1: Now you can ship all of your First-Class and Media-Mail stuff WITHOUT HAVING TO PAY SOME NONSENSE MONTHLY FEE! 2: You don't have to use USPS.com's confusing & chaotic website to ship Priority Mail & Express Mail 3: Easy-to-use Paypal interface doesn't require special software or sticker-labels. Just shove a peice of paper in your printer and it prints fine, no issues!
Thanx SD!
Let me add a few more CONs:
2. PayPal shipping works only on IE. Enough said. With all the money they're making I'm sure then can hire a competent programmer to make this part of PayPal standards-complient.
Works for me all the time in Firefox, and I do quite a bit of shippng though paypal's service. Turn off your popup blocker for the site. |

The only really "hot" deal here would be to get a deal on labels. God I hate cutting out gobs of those things. |

3. Their labels are UGLY. Why can't they generate nice, sharp labels like the USPS site does?
Overall, I agree that having the ability to print 1st class amd Media labels is nice. I'm sure that in the near future USPS will do that too.
And a question to the OP: why do you find the USPS site confusing and ugly? It's a very well laid out, very fast, and prints highest-quality labels. For example, on PayPal you can't go back, or cancel a label once you've printed it. Just for that I never use PayPal to ship Priority, the USPS site is much nicer. PayPal's looks like it designed by a retard and their lables look they were drawn in crayons.
2. Wrong. Firefox works fine. 3. Have you tried the paypal shipping lately? They are just as crisp as the USPS site labels |

iwearnosox were you hired by PayPal to design their shipping site? In regards to 2 - this is not true. It works fine for me. I am running Camino on Mac OS X. There used to be some compatibility issues, but between Camino, Firefox, & Safari, one of those browsers worked (I can't remember which). The funny thing was that the browser that worked with paypal shipping didn't work with USPS shipping. I had to use a different one of those browsers to print postage from their site.
ps, i don't work for paypal - in fact I have some issues with their postage printing too. They've got this bug that causes the shipping date on the label to be one day later than it says it's going to be on your confirmation page (I think it's anytime you select the next day for shipping after close of business - ie, after 5 of 7pm). |

I printed for quite a while on plain 8.5x11 sheets of paper and taped them. |
