I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this before in this thread. I use redroller.com for shipping first class, priority mail as well as DHL express. It's cheaper than shipping from within the postoffice and there are no monthly fees of any kind. Go check it out. redroller.com |

To update, PayPal told me what I already knew:Thank you for contacting PayPal. I am sorry to hear about this situation, and understand your frustration and concern over the issue.
Noob, when shipping with the U.S. Postal Service, you can pay for shipping labels with your PayPal account balance, with an Instant Transfer from your bank account, PayPal Plus Credit card, PayPal Buyer Credit or with your credit card.I shipped a couple packages using the instant transfer method (bank) but hate how they tear up my bank statements. Its nice to have a single credit card statement for USPS, FedEx, and the like. Hopefully they will unbreak the shipping tool... |

redroller.com How would it be cheaper than shipping from the Post Office, Mr. RedRoller.com? PO will charge you $0.45 or $0.55 for delivery confirmation for 1st class mail and you will pay $0.13 or $0.18 if you print your labels on redroller.com |

I shipped a couple of small 5 oz packages last week at the post office. They were $1.48 postage for each package for first class mail without delivery confirmation. These are cheap stuffs, so I don't need del. conf. anyway. But today I printed postage via Paypal USPS first class, each package is $1.81 + 18 cents delivery confirmation. Total is $1.99 for 5 oz package with delivery confirmation. So actually I am paying 51 cents more thru Paypal with delivery confirmation. Weird. |

So actually I am paying 51 cents more thru Paypal with delivery confirmation. Weird.Indeed weird. There is new postal regulation prohibiting delivery confirmation on inexpensive flats. You need to pay for first class parcels to be eligible for delivery confirmation. Furthermore, the item should be more than 3/4 thick to be eligible; otherwise, there is priority rates with free delivery confirmation. Also, there is no overseas ground rate any longer. Welcome to the USPS. |

Yeah, and I can't seem to find any way to add delivery confirmation for USPS delivery with the service. (not using priority mail) |
