Does Shipping Assistant allow you to print any kind of labels WITH POSTAGE? I believe that you can print almost any labels with Shipping Assistant, but not with postage (they do have DC, though). Also, I have found that SA doesn't resolve/check addresses as well as the USPS web site does. |

ScrawneyWallet said:ArgoNavis, I use firefox and print shipping labels for both USPS and UPS through paypal. After you click "print label" you simply click "reprint label" and it will work. You don't need to use IE.
Well, I've tried several things and nothing helps. I'll try that though I can't recall seeing this "reprint label" button. The first time I had issues I was on the phone with a PayPal "shipping specialist" (whatever that is), who after half an hour could not help me and finally said "we support IE only, screw you". Must have been one of iwearnosox's friends |

how to make it work in FireFox:
Under FireFox: click on Tools > Options > Conttent > next to Block Pop-up Windows click on "Allowed Sites" > type in there paypal.com and click allow > click on close > click on Ok. Now the USPS shipping center will work under PayPal.
no need to use junk IE.

I got a letter from the USPS stating that Shipping Assistant is not going to be usable after 1/06/06. |

I've just been informed by usps.com that the USPS Shipping Assistant program will NOT be discontinued, "due to overwhelming marketplace demand." So we can still make up online delivery confirmation labels at the electronic rate, INCLUDING First Class Mail. Hooray!

Great tips on Paypal and USPS assistant shipping. I knew about the former (for eBay auctionss not paid through Paypal), but not the latter. I think USPS.com has some free labels one can order.... Hmm. Good thread! |

ArgoNavis said:Overall, I agree that having the ability to print 1st class amd Media labels is nice. I'm sure that in the near future USPS will do that too. That's something anyone could have said 2+ years ago when Paypal came out with USPS shipping. Keep on waiting...
For example, on PayPal you can't go back, or cancel a label once you've printed it. Just for that I never use PayPal to ship Priority, the USPS site is much nicer. PayPal's looks like it designed by a retard and their lables look they were drawn in crayons. You can void a label within 24 hours of creating it. USPS uses PDF so it prints out sharper than Paypal's, which doesn't require PDF support to print labels. But saying they look like they were drawn in crayons is an obvious overexaggeration. |

It's a mailing label, who cares what it looks like? IE is a tool, I'm sure you have more than one screwdriver in your house.
Some people may be collecting printed labels... Ya never know. HEH He's probably the same guy that's at the post office deciding what design stamp he wants as 20 people stand behind him waiting to get on their lives. "Ooooh, flowers, can I see those, too?"
Ha ha, just today afternoon, a lady who eventually brought 3x0.37 FLAGS, spent literally 20 minutes fighting with nice USPS clerk that why they did not stocked million X-mas stamps before OOS becuase she needed 3. |

poly2004, do you mean that you can print POSTAGE with the Shipping Assistant? I'm sure quite a few people here would like to know how. It prints label, delivery bar code, DC bar code, but not postage. |

Yes, it is They still look ugly, though, with very coarse letters. Looks like something that came from the dawn of printing.
I'd be interested to know how you can void a label with Paypal shipping. I haven't needed it so far, but you never know. |

Redundant thread IMHO - can do all this via the USPS.com or the Shipping Assistant.
But good for people who didn't know. |

One can perform all steps to print label etc using whatever Paypal/Assistant and then but stamps at USPS.com for final value.
Also those who have 24/7 Self postage ATM, you can do all sort of things there too. |
