CAG has been wrong before. They once advertised a Circuit City game clearance and none of the games on the list except F-Zero for GBA were at the clearance price advertise. Things that make the front page of CAG are usually topics on the forum that get lots of posts. I work at R Zone and I know for a fact that this list of clearance games is bogus. We haven't been issued any list of games that are going on clearance and when we are issued the manifest it at least comes two days in advance of the sale so we can tag the items with there new prices. Maybe this is for the Dec. 26 sale. My boss wants me to come in on the 24 and early on the 26 to pull the Dec. 26 sale items off there usual sale space and put them on a special table so that the aisle don't get crowded like on Black Friday. |

My buddy who I mentioned earlier that works in the game department at TRU just called me and he said he talked to his store manager and there is NO sale this is bogus. I respect your arguements that an employee would lie to a customer so they could get a deal BUT there is no way that a store manager would lie to an employee about this especially when the manager is good friends with that employees family.
If this was at all legit then don't you think a store manager would know?? This is bogus, end of discussion. |

Yeah, I just stopped by my local TRU to pick up some games to adjust tomorrow. They said that they will price adjust them if there is a change in price, but that there won't be since this markdown is not going to happen. They have received no such notification, and this was less than 24 hours before the sale is "supposed" to begin. I don't see why they would mark down so many games in the middle of the biggest rush for the holidays. Some of these games will sell just fine at full price. |

Not to credit/discredit this deal either way, but when I worked at Toys R Us during college corporate seemed to adjust the prices on a lot of items without telling the store owner/manager. They did inform them of the nationally advertised sales and items that were supposed to be greentagged, but I still had a lot of register issues with stuff being priced differently at the corporate level. This was a while ago though, and I'm not sure if that is the way they still do things. |

I just called the TRU in Clrwtr, FL... confirmed... nothing. Saleslady was not going to admit if there was a sale Thursday morning, but she mentioned eBay & "some internet message board" during the conversation. ROFL |

I just spoke with Geoffrey. He says if you don't stop whining he'll leave you in a really high tree. He wouldn't speculate on whether or not the deal was fake. |

Every time someone doubts that this sale is real, Geoffrey sheds a tear. Please don't make him cry. He just asks that you believe. |
