This was previously in a pre-holiday sale and sold out in less than one day -- they just got some more in stock and are doing quick sale to cover all the back orders from last time, and they reissued the rebate for this. The $45 was on desktop memory, a bit of a different bird...

Don't know much about computers - can I use DDR2 memory in my computer if it has DDR already, or does this not fit?
No -- DDR and DDR2 are incompatible. Note -- this is RAM for notebooks with Intel CPUs only. AMD still uses DDR.

Sodimm for laptops = 200 pin. This memory will work with Dell 6000, 9300. IBM T43, SOny s360/460/560. Check your laptops if they take DDR2 400/533 MHz Do not compare the price with 240 pin desktop memory.
This is certainly the best deal for 1GB laptop memory. Thanks OP green for you

Hi, I just brought this Ram. Thank you so much for the awsome deal. I have a 256MB chip in the laptop (BB's BF laptop Toshiba L25), can I leave it in the machine or do I need to take it out then put the 1GB in?
Thank you in advance and thanks again for the great deal.

I got the same lappy in the same deal and found this mem after a long search online. Best deal I could find by far -- so where's my green??
Like most notebooks, Toshiba L25 has 2 slots. So now you'll have 1280MB -- should be enough to keep it happy for a while...

Yup, there should be a free slot to let you put in the 1GB chip.

when does it say it's oos? i'm at the step right before submit order. i would think it would say if it was oos before i get this far along in the process...
It's true, they're OOS -- told me they got over 100 orders in the last 2 hours -- you guys are fast! You can still backorder (like I did the first time) and see if they reactive the rebate. Otherwise, call them and see when it'll be back in stock. Check then and see if they will do the rebate again -- Good luck...

I added 2GB of this memory to my BF deal Toshiba L25. Works way better than the regular 256MB.

I thought Sony's took special memory? Are you sure the S360 can accept this?

I thought Sony's took special memory? Are you sure the S360 can accept this? Sony's flash memory devices take Sony's propriety Memory Stick type. Computers take regular computer RAM -- as long as you match DDR or DDR2, bus speed, and whether notebook or desktop.
It is not back in stock. They only had a 100 in-stock and couple ofdays ago when I ordered and even less with the OP posted the deal. They sold out within minutes of this FW thread posting. Delete your cookies of refresh the page to see the "Call for availability" status. Either way you are SOL.

I ordered a few days ago when this deal went live, and they had about 100 in stock. Didn't get the order in fast enough before they sold out.
Called yesterday (Friday), and was told that they were expecting a shipment to arrive that day. Sure enough, it was there, and it arrived today (1 day shipping selected).
It's in the machine, and working great!

I have Dell Inspiron 1150. Will this work with it?
My notebook uses so-dimm DDR"1" for which I could hardly find such a good price. Hopefully I will see Corsair put my edition on sale tomorrow as well. Happy New Year everybody!

I meant to thank you a while back for being a dumb-schit. I got the memory and as soon as I took the cover off my Sony S360 I realized it wasn't compatible. I had ordered quickly without researching, for fear of going OOS, and believed your seemingly knowledgeable advice. Only to figure out later you're just another moron who spouts off at the mouth without really knowing what they're talking about. Now I've wasted $50 on memory I can't even use. THANK YOU.
Do you have this memory? Ill buy it from you, Im looking for this same Corsair PC4200 200PIN memory
