So the price in the title should say $60 ish AR instead of $53 then, right?

great price..green green

he didnt say free shipping...and you dont mention shipping price and taxes in the headline price..some people prefer overnight shipping ...

seems like a great price to me...i have been looking for notebook memory for some time...does anyone know if this would work on an HP Pavilion zv6000 CTO notebook?...it specifies 333MHz, PC2700 DDR-SDRAM Dual In-Line Memory Module...someone else told me it would work, but not operate above 333mhz...

No. PC2700 DDR-SDRAM != PC2-4200 DDR2-SDRAM. Notice there's a bunch of 2's in there. DDR is backwards compatible with DDR, and DDR2 with DDR2, but not between the two.

This is also available at Fry's B&M for $59.99 AR, at least in Wilsonville, OR.

i just called HP and they stated that in theory it should work...but they cannot guarantee it...i wonder who is right?

is the ddr2 just an indocation of newer technology or an indication that it simply will not work?

LMAO! Those guys are idiots. It will NOT work

donrull said: is the ddr2 just an indocation of newer technology or an indication that it simply will not work?

It simply WILL NOT WORK. It's like trying to stick your car key into lock in the front door to your house.

thanks op, green and in for one

Thanks for saving me the hassle of ordering and then returning. Anyone know of a good place to get a hot deal on memory that will fit my computer?

Some DDR2 info. Note that AMD chipsets do not yet support DDR2 RAM.

I think this thread has what you need.

i added links in the quick summary section on getting info on your laptop to see if this is the right ram for you.

BestBuy will have the PC2700 DDR Sodimms 512MB sticks for $39.99 out the door (no rebates) starting 01/22.

Thanks OP!
all the other times I saw this, I didn't act fast enough before it got sold out.

Do you know what the manufacturer is for that? Gee, I wish the 1GB DDR SoDIMM has a price like this DDR2!

does anyone know if this one works with IBM T43 (2668 model)? I was told it is kind of picky with CL #. Thanks

in-store price for Fry's still $79.99 -$20 rebate.

Actually, I had a car once where the ignition was so stripped out that it would actually work the other way around (i.e.: I accidentally started it with my house key at least once).

Fortunately such a thing shouldn't happen on memory keying. Should it actually happen, that means your computer must be broken badly.

Will it work in Dell Inspiron 6000? I think it will but there is so little information that I better ask people here.

heads up to the bay area folks:
san jose mercury ads say $79.99 store price, which is about $86-$87 out the door, before rebate. same as outpost's price($73) after tax+ship(~$13.50), before rebate.

Great Deal.
In for one and green for you.
Much rather pay for shipping than for gas!

Bought it about a month ago. It works well with my T43p 2668.

Thanks man. Appreciate the information. You know, I have stopped reading tomshardware for a year and a half and I cant make sense of half the things in the market no more... (I know it is wrong grammer, but we speak it this way where I come from )....

but T43p has something different with T43 right?

So anybody can make sure this RAM can work fine with T43 2668?

I bought an osu design 2668AJU from lenovo, only 256MB RAM inclusive.....

For everybody who is concerned whether this RAM will work on thier laptops or not:

http://www.Crucial.com

Just select your laptop from the drop down menus... See if similar RAM is listed.. then it will work.

this is 1 dimm correct......better not be 2!!!

Heck of a deal, I can't believe I missed this thread earlier. Thx for the post

This link PC World Linkprovides some reviews of this memory and the laptops in which they were installed. Some reviews said the DDR memory worked just fine in machines that called out DDR2. DDR2 is substantially more expensive. There are many sites that help you find the correct memory for your machine. Crucial , Kingston, Memory4less, you can also check your manufacturer's web site for me Dell Memory Selector. FYI: according to the PC World Link, this worked fine in my machine Insprion 6000. But I wanted the full dual channel performance and I bought mine from Zipzoomfly that included free 2nd day FedEx. But, if this is the correct memory for you - this is a great deal. Green for OP.

My mistake. Mine is T43 instead of T43p. Part No. 266842U Description THINKPAD T43 2668

Will it work for my Toshiba L25-S119 laptop?

yes

Price updated to $79.99 now!

Skipping 16 Messages...

this is back, but IMO not really a good deal

$89.99 + $7 tax + $7 ship = $104 - $25 rebate = $79 (newegg has this for $85 shipped, without having to deal with waiting for rebates)

Also, note only one rebate per address (if you wanted to get 2GB)
