I would also like to know if someone has a recommendation for a fan control
and is there in cheap controller to rig one or two of these babies for my home theater equipment??
If you have an A/V receiver (or a seperate amp or tuner) with a switched outlet, grab a power supply from an old giveaway PC, plug the fans into the PS, and the PS into the A/V receiver. You could also get a cheap variostat to control current to the PS, but it may shorten the life of the unit...I've never done that and I'm not exactly an electrical engineer =)
I'm in for 10 to use in an A/V cabinet I'm building, so if these fans are too loud I'll probably try the variostat myself =) |

It kinda helps when you read the thread thoroughly. You will find that it clearly states that the fans were back in stock on jan 4 and been in stock since then.
The few hours that it was out of stock on the 3rd, the thread was move to DD.
1. your fist link is for fans double the price plus shipping, with no link.
2. your second link is for a thread that got buried in DD that hasn't been posted to in weeks.
The OP did me and lots of other folks a favor posting this here, instead of the bowels of DD where all of 2 people would ever see it, so please shut your yap.
Like I said before read the thread thoroughly:

If anyone is interested, newegg still have 10 for $9.90 shipped. fans
This was in the thread but it was mentioned before in the forum.
If you want to do lots of other folks a favor, then you have a beef with the moderators who buried the thread in DD and prevented it being available for 3 weeks.

They don't put out any volts or amps...
They do if you use the 7V trick... |

Is there any way to get an ac adapter for these fans? I've always wanted a way to plug case fans into standard outlets. |

Even if you can't find somebody to split it with. $9.90 is a good price to get a good amount of fans in your computer, plus backups. Also try selling them to your friends. I sold two for $5 to one of my friends (He named the price), so I ended up with eight fans for $4.90. |
