What are the diffferences besides power between the 7100 and 7120? Do you guys think the 7100 is a good buy at $699? |

Just called them. Price of $800 was an error but they'll honor that price for those who got in early but no go when requested to honor that price for me. |

Called CSR, they would not budge on the $999 price. Good luck everyone else.

I'd pick denon over this as denon is a bigger name in hi-end receivers and 3805/3806 in particular is a much more popular model among audiophiles. check reviews at audioreview.com |

Thanks OP! Got the AVR7120 for $847 shipped (couple hours ago). I still may cancel though as I can probably live without a new receiver for a while yet . . . |

Yes. It's the other FW effect. |

Did anyone else buy an extended warranty? I almost never do, but I picked one up this time due to other FWers' reliability concerns. It was $60 for 5 years. Theoretically, you can get $30 in credit if you contact them as soon as the warranty expires. I was nervous about trying to otherwise get work done on such an expensive receiver. |

What's with the negative rating on my post above? Cause I called? or cuz I wished everyone else good luck? It seems that someone is pms'ing and took out on the last few post. BTW, the only way to get that 799 price was to call and see if they would honor it. It wasn't like I was alerting them to change the price, it had already happened. Why don't you pm me and give me some constructive comments about why my post above needed to be rated neg. This example is why I'm reluctant to post comments.
Also, is the 7100 model at 699 better or the Denon 3805 at 799. Thanks in advance.

SoundTribeSeeker maybe if you pick a different user icon (avatar)...you might not have gotten red.
The bulldog look is very intiminating!
Click here to see other Avatars!
I'd suggest using the: - fairy - happy person - hippi - woman 3

i ordered at $799....my guess is that they'll fill the $999 orders first though...then claim its OOS when they get to the $799 orders. Wouldnt surprise me a bit. |
