I just placed an order with BlueNile.com last night.

I used the VISA 10% off coupon (VISAW16), but made my purchase with an AMEX!

The discount was applied and the sale went through with no problems.

Cheers!

This is a hot deal. Why the red rating?

Coupon is valid for settings only.

Not so, I used the VISA coupon on the Blue Nile Diamond and Sapphire watch, and it worked just fine!

Just a FYI, the code still works. Thanks OP, saved me $60 + FatCash!

Where did you find this deal? Any link for the code?
Thanks

So this will, or will not, take 10% off a total ring/diamond??? I'm in the process of purchasing an engagement ring, and if this takes off 10% of the ring AND diamond, I will jump all over it.

Anyone bought a diamond/setting together using this coupon?

Look above you.

The code as far as I know does not work on loose diamonds, but will work on the settings. I got a pair of earings that was one of the premade ones.

you should go to diamondtalk.com

BlueNile is like 10% over market on prices so you saved 0% lol.

seriously.

i spent months on diamondtalk.com b4 i made my choice. far cheaper than BlueNile for a superior stone and setting, no tax, etc.

Thanks for the info, just didn't have that much time to check. I did go to several local jewler and costco and all was more for similar or lesser quality. At least I'm not over paying... too much. Plus this was for a small piece, if I'm shopping for a 1ct stone, believe me I'll be doing more homework.

okay just trying to help. for every (thing) to be sold there's a forum to help folks. BlueNile isn't bad, its just not a HOT deal. 10% off makes it a good deal, but its 10% over market already. so you got a good deal. but there are better ways. not trying to diss you. im just hoping others will consider all options

Nope, didn't take it neg. Do appreciate the pointers as a future purchase it will come in handy. LOL, my gf tells me that I shop around too much sometimes, but I do like to know that I'm getting at least a decent deal. Thanks for the input!

Huh? BlueNile is 10% over market? BlueNile, Diamond.com, Dirtcheapdiamonds.com are some of the lowest priced diamond wholesalers, especially after FatCash. What wholesalers have you seen that offer lower prices?

FatCash on my order was denied as:

"Blue Nile only approves coupon codes from their FatWallet Merchant Page"

Funny I just saw this thread. Been thinking about proposing and was thinking about getting a ring soon. I heard from friends that BlueNile was a good place to get it and was cheaper than my local jewler because I wouldn't have to pay tax. Do any of you fatwalleter's have any other suggestions to online places to shop. I saw the diamondtalk forum and will do my research there. Is BlueNile really overpriced? What other online sites have good prices and are reputable. I am looking to spend 10k to 12k for the diamond. Thanks for the input!
