Went to a TRU that was closing down in Washington state. I couldn't believe that the prices for the spiderman guitar and the other items on the list were actually HIGHER than what you guys are finding in stores that aren't closing down! And yes I did scan the items at the price checker. What a rip off this TRU is!

Store I went to in Arizona had 4 of the Spiderman Camcorder at $10. I passed. Didn't really see anything that jumped out at me. Most of the stuff had been cleared out long ago.

Crazy TRU...2 stores, 20 min apart..one had the Party Playhouse for 90% off, the other still had it orange tagged @ $20+! And some of the toys had green tags COVERED by orange tags! I did get a display stingray bike for $6 + $10 'assembly fee', so I'm a happy woman!! The clerk said someone had gotten one yesterday, too. Thanks again!

I have been following FW for several years now. I have gotten some good deals in the past but this one rocked!

I read the thread Thursday night and thought I would try my luck Friday afternoon. I found one of the purple stingrays for $8. It was the floor model but for $8 I decided to take it. When I went to pay the total rang up $20. The sales clerk (Flo) said I needed to pay the $10 for assembly. My polite response was "I would have taken one in the box but this was the last one." She got mad and started yelling at me something like "you are getting an $80 bike for $20. What more could you want." It was obvious to me. I wanted to pay $8. I asked to speak to the manager. The manager walked over, we talked, I made my case, the manager walked over to a computer, looked up something (or pretened to), walked back over, and had the sales clerk remove the assembly charge. The sales clerk was steaming. $8.48 out the door with Tax.

I can't wait to give this to my daughter.
