Went down to check out the feel of the machine. Bought it. It is the second-best elliptical they sell (second highest priced anyway). The highest price was discounted down to $999 from $1299. Warranty come with one year of coverage including routine maintenance. I bought the extended warranty for $129 which covers machine for an additional 3 years.
Also, exact same situation with a treadmill. Bought it also, with extended warranty. OTD- just under $2000. Oh, delivery was $60-ish each unit but I got delivery plus assembly which was $100 per unit. So $699 x 2, $100 x 2, warranty on tread was more than elliptical.
SAved $600 today. Thanks SD and OP.

Is this an elliptical model that Sears usually has in-stock at their stores or one of their models that is only on the floor and will be delivered?
I'm thinking of checking it out, but don't want to deal with the delivery charge nor the tax (can buy in a tax-free state 15 mins away vs. my home state).

Thanks, OP. Bought one too. The Sears at Industry, CA has a display model with a little crack on the plastic for $599. Great price if you can take it home, since it's already assembled.
I've looked at this model too. What I liked about it is that is has the same feel as the healthclub machines I have tried. I think the key is that the better ellipicals have geard fly wheel that makes the resistance more even and smooth. Much better than my low cost model!
Seems like the sale is other though!

Same feel as a precor?? I would seriously doubt it. Then again, precors are 4X the price so if its even close its a good deal imo.
Where do you see that? I just bought it last night for $699 but haven't picked it up yet. Web site shows $699.

How big of a box is this thing in? Something you can fit in an average SUV? Or do you need a van/pickup truck?

It fit in my Yukon XL with the rear seat and half of the center row folded down, with room to spare. I think it might be a tight fit in a standard Yukon or Tahoe. It's a heavy box though--bring a handcart and a friend.
Thanks, OP. My wife mentioned the day before you posted that she wanted an elliptical for her birthday the next day, so it was perfect timing. She says it's as nice as the one she uses at the gym.
