I just got one from Dell and used a $35 off $300 and it worked fine. I have another coupon if you want it just reply to me. Final price before tax was $284.20-$100(rebate)=$184.20 before tax (Tax was $14.21) in Virginia. |

why is this camera so expensive? Checked its specs, nothing stands out to justify its $300+ price. |

It might be the Wi-Fi capabilities. It's pretty first-generation, but at this price it might be worth a look...
Edit: wow, not kidding about (lack of) eBay - the prices pick up somewhat towards the end of auctions, but anyone getting one to try to eBay it for big buck$ is going to be sorely disappointed. (One had a reserve set for above $200 and didn't make it!) |

I ordered one from Dell w/ FatWallet CashBack. The informed me today that there is a backorder, and it will ship on 5/1/06. Alternatively, I read the fine print of the rebate, and it is not exclusive to Dell. Meaning, you can order it from Willoughbys or BWayPhoto.com for under $300, w/ free shipping and no tax out of NY...a better buy, IMO bec/ Dell charges tax to many locations, which pretty much minimizes any incentive from the rebate...
...just my 2 cents! |

Use 35 off 300 coupon instead:
$399.00 -20% instant off -$35 off $300 Coupon -$100 MIR
= $184.20 + tax on 284.20, shipped free.
edit: whoops missed fredk213's post above... |

Anyone else had this experience? Mine shipped a couple of days ago, hope they aren't sending out ones without the cards to all. |

To me, the rebate seems not limited to Dell purchase. Correct me if I am wrong. |
