I know there are some online versions that you can download for free but it will need a lot of paper and ink to print, unless you read it on the PC. But you have to look at your PC screen for a long time. I prefer to get such a handy book like this so you can read whenever you like.
Added: They just change the shipping to free. So don't even need the code now.

that is correct because a book is always so detailed. I'm excited about the movie cause I want to see how it is actually played out. they both have their benefits.
I still have $5 store credit from evangelion deal. In order for it to be applied, you need to order at least $5.
Any 50 cent filler?
Edit: There is $1-$5 video/music clearance bin. So 50 cents - 4% FatCash. I'd hate to waste 48 cents, anybody see anything cheaper than $1?

At best this book is an engaging What If. There are so many holes in the book that it is laughable that it tries to make itself out to be pseudo-factual. I would suggest you reading The Da Vinci Code: A Quest For Answers by Josh McDowell. You've got this hugely selling work of fiction trying to pass as fact but nothing to back it up, and then McDowell refutes the preposterous Mr. Brown's work in a little over one hundred pages with over 12 pages of bibliography & footnotes.
Dan Brown's novel might be intriguing, but don't be sucked into the outlandish claims he makes. Get the facts.

it's a book. and a very well written one at that. is it a history text? of course not.
I don't get it. If you buy from Overstock, you pay $4.50 and wait AT LEAST 2-3 weeks for it to arrive. (Overstock will take up to a week or more to ship the book by truck to a shipping location in another state, then you get to wait for USPS media mail to get to you...)
Or you can go to Costco or WalMart or whatever and get it for the same price and have it at least 2-3 weeks sooner...

Thanks OP. I just jumped. I've already read the book while I was on a cruise and liked it so much, at the next port of call, I bought the other three Dan Brown books to read on the way home! Now I have a complete collection.

I picked up this book at a yard sale 2 years ago (hard cover for $1) and could not put it down. It is a fast moving story with no slow moments. After finishing the code, I read Angels and Demons, which I thought was slightly better than TDC. I am surprised at the publicity this book has created, I guess the way it was written appealed to the mass audience (I am sure most who have read TDC never read Holy Blood Holy Grail), but the times in which TDC was published, the Catholic Church was already in trouble with allegations of sex abuse. Although, mostly fiction, the book does have a solid historical foundation. I have always believed the Bible cannot entirely be true (its was written by men not God) so in a way it can all be to an extent fabricated or exaggerated. Also, it has always been my opinion that religion was used in those days to intimidate people and to this day, it is the cause of most wars (my God is better than your God). Happy reading...

I am sure you are optimistic that people wont read it but let me say this "if people manage to read just the first page then they will read it till the end".
You becoming an optimist about people not reading book will not change the fact. Dan Brown rocks!!
This MP3 was probably put on by Opus Dei. They started it with the novel and ended with the same ol' repenting stuff. I actually cried....... not cos i repented but cos of these guys commitment to use anything even the rival book's name to propagate their msg.
<Umberto Eco's Foucault's Pendulum.> Thanks for reminding me - I have heard Ecco's book is great. Believe it or not we studied an Umberto Ecco book in the philosophy of art course I took in college.
