The code worked for me at NetFlix. Just used a different cc from my previous trial offer. BB is also running a free 1-month trial with 1 free in-store rental a week for a year.
E-mail or snail mail? I was part of the class action and I got the e-mail a long time ago but no further updates about when the free period goes into affect.

Clear your cookies and use IE. Go to NetFlix home page. Right there under Sign up now link there will be "Have a special offer? Enter Code:" field. Enter the code and hit Redeem button.

I got it actually..its not a link that you have to click..on the main page...try looking top right..you will see a box that says if you have a promotional code or something

I'm not sure if it would work or not with the free trial coupon. I didn't even think to try.
