Does anyone know when the 2407fpw is going to be released? I have been holding off for that but I am reconsidering purchasing the 2405fpw now..

The 2407FPW has been reported as buggy and substandard in its initial release. Although the 2407 DOES support DVI/HDCP, the 2405 is clearly the superior monitor.

The 2407FPW has been reported as buggy and substandard in its initial release. Although the 2407 DOES support DVI/HDCP, the 2405 is clearly the superior monitor.

It was a problem with the Farouja chip being active in all modes. I believe they fixed that now.

Definitely worth getting the 2405 if you can't wait for the newer model. My wife and I just received our monitor yesterday as part of a sweet deal on a Dell E510. We ended up paying about $300 to upgrade to the 2405 after discounts and it was well worth it. Beautiful looking monitor. I can't wait to play Battlefield 2 on it
