Well, honestly, it's more like changing it to "buy 3, get 1 free" unless you'll dine alone the next time.
So, is this gonna be a chainwide thing, or just the one in Cupertino?

It looks chainwide. The revised offer is on their website (with 'birthday' misspelled). I also saw today's Todai ad in the San Jose Merc and the offer said you get a free meal for your next visit. The ad was for all Bay Area Todai locations (Daly City, Cupertino, etc.)
I'm very disappointed. I don't think they realize how much business they will lose unless they lower their prices. On my birthday they had all the birthday people stand up so they could sing to us, and there was one birthday person at every table. I won't go now. It's not worth $25.

In westpalm Florida there is a chinese buffet place called Crazy Buffet. They have sushi and a habachi grill that is all you can eat also. The price for one person is $20 but if it is your birthday then it is FREEEEE. Not sure if it is a chain or what.

I won't be going to Todai for my BD this week, neither will my F&F on theirs anymore, the only thing that drew us was Todai's BD deal, the food is not really that great for that price except the scallops.

Went to Fuddruckers on my b-day (another Aug 4th) and they hooked me up with a free brownie sundae. Went to Beaches Restaurant (two locations in Portland, Oregon metro area...don't know where else they are located) and when I made reservations, I let them know it was my husbands birthday (Aug 9), and they put his name on their chalkboard in the entrance of the restaurant, print up a special menu for your table that says Happy Birthday (insert name), and normally have you spin some sort of prize wheel to figure out what you get for free, but it was broken so they told him he could have the dessert of his choice or a free mug. We split a almond roca dessert which was fabulous.

When I went in Todai yesterday, they had a sign about birthdays on every table. As of July 15, 2003, you have to go with another full paying customer, and you get a voucher for a free meal that expires in three months.
This was in Dallas by the way.

it's both my roommate's and my b-day today... we want free meals! hehe... we plan on going out with some friends for food, but what are the places that gather up all the waiters/waitresses to sing happy birthday? I always found that really embarassing, so I'd like to know ahead of time. A couple years ago I went to Todai, and I just said to them "as a birthday gift, could you please not sing to me?" and it worked... got a free meal and cake with no singing. =) So yah.. what places sing for you?

All-american Cafe gives a free dessert on your birthday. Considering the desserts are ~$5 and you can get a MASSIVE slice of resees peanut butter ice cream pie (serves 2) for free, I think it's a hot deal!
My b-day is coming up next week, anyone have any good Atlanta deals? I've got fudruckers, Provino's, and front page news. Lots of options!

More particularly in the Seattle area?
Thanks!

I will not go to Todai anymore. They charged my 2 years old son for 4 bucks (they go by height, not age)! We eat there because of birthday special. Otherwise, the food is not worth 25 bucks. Their sushi is absolutely no quality control at all.
BTW, the Todai I went to is in Plano, TX

For one who belong to Sleep Less in Seattle, you can travel to Redmond Town Center for Todai seafood rest. Otherwise you can try down town Seattle Union Station for free meal. You have to wait for the van to deleive free meal to homeless. (LOL) Happy B.D.
