My email to Denny's:
Hi! What is Denny's policy on a free meal on one's birthday?
The response from tell_us@advantica-dine.com:
This is to acknowledge receipt of your email. We only offer the birthday club for kids 10 years old and younger. There is a form to complete and mail in on the kid's menu or they can join on the website.
Thank you Mindy Guest Assurance |

At Olive Garbage you're family..... so says the italian guy in the tv commercial.
First of all, no italian with any self respect, would go to an Olive Garbage, when he/she wants to eat "italian"
Second, how many families do you know of hand you a check after you're done eating? (besides John Cusack's grandma in One Crazy Summer)
Third, how many families do you know of charge you for your birthday cake at your party? just my $.03 worth...... |

i like to call olive garden ... fast food italian! they really pack people in and get them in and out fast. i find their dessert prices obnoxious, but that's just me, and many restaurants sell tiny pieces of cake for $5. i |

Actually, at Todai's, all you have to do is tell them it's your birthday and prove it to them with a photo ID. Then they sing you a corny-ass song and give you free food, which in Seattle, is about $22 bucks worth...so go forget the steamed rice and kill the lobster stand. |

Regarding Todai: << Dine at Todai ON your birthday and receive an equal value 'Goodwill Certificate' for future visits (ID required). Birthday Goodwill Certificate regulation is strictly enforced in accordance with the Todai policy. (Restrictions and offers may vary from sto re to s tore. >> at here: http://www.todai.com/pages/news/latestnews.shtml
AND << Seniors 65 and better receive 20% discount at dinner and birthday celebrants receive a free meal on their birthday with a proof of ID. >> at Here: http://www.todai.com/pages/todai/abouttodai.htm
It seems to vary a lot from store to store. |

Went to Todai at Pleasanton (Northern California). Told them it was my birthday. Got the free meal right away.
On the price board hung next to the entrance, it says "Free birthday meal (same day) ID required".
Good luck |
