Hmmm... it seems Dennys lied to me. I called 5 locations around So Cal and they told me the free meal for birthdays was discontinued by the corporate. I remembered when I was a kid, we had it. Anyways, here's some more that I found out by calling:

Macoroni Gril is the place to go for your birthday. I am not aware of free food offerings, but what they do for you is get an OPERA singer (who happens to work there) to sing "Happy Birthday" in Italian (i think)... pretty cool

At Hooter's Resturaunts, on your birthday they have you stand on a stool and all the Hooter Girls stand around the stool below you, and sing. It's good for a laugh, even if its not your birthday...I've never seen an instance where they ask for ID.
