Be aware Gevalia often rejects current/former members of Gevalia who received free gifts in the past from participating in future offers. I was a former member and was rejected by letter several weeks later because their records showed I had already participated in a previous offer a year or so ago and my money was refunded. In lieu of that, I was offered the opportunity to rejoin without receiving any free gift. Apparently they keep your membership info on file and just mark it as "inactive," but you are still "a member."
A cc is required to participate in any of the aforementioned online offers. An improper address or name variation in an attempt to get around this will usually cause a verification problem with your cc.

Of course you could add an authorized user with a different first name. If you live in an apt change your address from Apt 1000 to Unit 1000 or Suite 1000. The address variation would go onto your CRA though, so don't get too clever.
I still haven't gotten a confirmation email from Gevalia, and when I go to their site it says 'no orders found'. The CSR says it takes a day for the system to update. It's most unacceptable that I can't see my order right away, and I'm going to close my account because of that. Mrs Monkey might not be so picky, and may want to give it a try.

If you live in a house, use Apt.1 or Apt. A, etc. They will still deliver it to you

You are da bomb noidyho!
Excellent post, I ordered the offer number 8. Checked it out on cuisinart.com - amazing coffee-maker, really is worth 150 bucks (unless of course you have to pay full price ) Thanks a lot! (btw, the retail price on that thermal coffee maker is apparently $140!)

Is it unusual for it to take over 36 hours to show an order as pending on your account info page? It was Sunday morning in the wee hours when I signed up, still no acknowledgement.
I am curious if someone can confirm that the Grind & Brew is actually a Cusinart, because, when I look at Gevalia's site for coffemakers that they sell, the only Grind & Brew is not the Cusinart. If anyone has actually received theirs, please post. Thanks & Happy New Year
Also, BTW use a one time use credit card number (like Amex private payments) when ordering so they can't try to bill you for any future shipments when you cancel.
My parents have had theirs for well over a year and use it every morning and some nights. If you don't always want to use the grinder, you don't have to. Cleanup is no different than a seperate grinder and coffee maker. Still works great and the coffee tastes good!
When you go to read the reviews, under the last one is a link that says something like "read all 88 reviews". amazon only shows the most recent three reviews - you need to click on the link to see more.
After reading through many of the negative reviews I decided to pass on this coffeemaker.
Looks like most reviewers on amazon.com were just complaining about cleaning it, but most said it made great coffee. That's mostly what I am looking for. And if it only lasts me a year for $20 bucks - still a good deal to me.
I signed up in my wifes name -- hope they don't check addresses for prior members -- I used a different cc too. I WANT that coffee maker -- I grind ALL my beans -- fresh is better Heck, flea bay it for $50 bucks if you don't want it -- free coffee that is good coffee !
Thanx for this thread - I was a Gevalia member 6 addresses, 12 credit cards, 3 emails, and one name ago....evidently they couldn't find me Got in on the Cuisinart coffee maker, looks delightful! I would have been pleased with just a programmable Cuisinart so this is extra swell.

Let us know how the grind a brew maker works. I signed up about 4 years ago and I just signed up again to replace the pot I have. It is still working, but I want a new gadget

I signed up for the upteenth time and never received an acknowledgement from Gevalia.com, so I decided to sign up my DH! LOL Heck, he drinks more coffee than me. After 2 days, he got an acknowledgement of his order and to look for it in 2 weeks. I love these Gevalia deals. This one is, by far, the best! JMHO How cool is a grind and brew for under $20? way cool!

I signed up for the Grind n Brew offer on Jan 1st, registered at the site while I was there, and only today 1/9 got my confirmation email. It also asked me to go register at the site (again?). It didn't mention the free offer so I'm wondering what's up? That happen to anyone else? I also only had 2 choices of coffee to order (traditional and breakfast blend); they were temp OOS on all others.

It didn't take that long for me to get my confirmation email, but otherwise it sounds the same. It didn't mention what I'd ordered either and metioned registering at the web site. Call the customer service line and ask.
However, I got my coffe maker and coffee yesterday. I now understand these sneaky b**stards game. Their coffee is obviously grown in heaven, and tended to by angels. So much for quitting the club after my first shipment. <sigh>

Gevalia coffee is addicting. If I didn't know better, I would swear that they put heroin in it.

Got my Cuisinart Grind & Brew coffee maker today. Also got the coffee I ordered, which I haven't tried yet. Just wanted to say that Gevalia has great CS. I called them a couple days back because they'd sent me a bizarre letter saying I was ineligible for the deal because I was already a member (which I have never been). Turned out to be a mistake. They couldn't have been more helpful on the phone, and even offered to delay or cancel my next shipment right then and there.

Anyone received the 12 cup Coffee Maker (offer 10)?
How is it? What brand is it?
Thanks

I also got the odd letter saying I was a former member of Gevalia when I don't think I ever was - the problem is I can't remember really. . .
I'm gonna be the first naysayer - I HATE Gevalia's coffee! But the coffee maker's nice.
I also hate the Gevalia coffee. I don't understand how so many people can like it.

Regarding Gevalia coffee selections, as a former member I can recommend the following, depending on your preference: Stockholm roast - medium roast, very mild. Dark roast - a little more full-flavored than Stockholm. Colombian - really good, light acid, great for wake-up. Kenya - African coffee, full-flavored rounded aroma - think desserts!
Actually, I like the coffee. I found a local place that roasts beans daily and you can get pretty fresh stuff that way, so I did not stay a member last time. I signed up for the grind and brew maker in Wife's name -- got a confirmation e-mail with account number, but nothing else -- Also, I cannot access the Change Coffee Program part of the account management. Whenever I click on it, it wants to download the JAVA progream -- something.jsp. Tried on multiple computers -- any other new members have this issue or problem getting in to change their coffee selections ?
The Grind & Brew code (159103) now just offers you a 10 cup for $10 . Apparnetly someone posted that code in a separate thread (either here or AT) and it was pulled shortly thereafter. Naturally, my wife told me she wanted me to sign up for one yesterday, after it was dead. Oh well.
I wonder if I could call and get it over the phone? Anyone know where they advertised that offer? It might help if I decided to call.

I just called CS since I signed up over a week ago, received an email with my account number, but nothing else - my card hasn't even been charged.
Anyway, the guy said that there was such a response to the offer for the grind & brew that it is now on back-order. They're currently trying to find a substitute grind & brew machine to send out or another source for the one shown. He had no estimate as to when I would actually receive the unit, but said that mine was a "standing order" and that my credit card would be charged when they are able to obtain more grind & brews to ship out.
He suggested I call back next week to check on the status of things...
