Too bad the sd550 only comes in Champange color. Otherwise I would've jumped on it too...
no, it's more of a champagne/brownish color. I wouldn't have bought it either, but for $150 I couldn't say no...the color doesn't bother me as much as i thought it would

Great Price. I would definitely buy this if I didn't buy the Canon S2 IS from Amazon last week.

(although my personal opinion would be to jump into dslr if you're gonna drop this much cash on a camera this big, but hey, that's just me- lol)
S3 is no where close to the size and weight of a DSLR, if you include the # of lenses you have to carry to meet this range.

While I'm sure it takes great pictures, it's not that much of an improvement over the S2, and it doesn't have MPEG4.
Yikes! Only 2" screen with 115k pixels?! 2.5" and 200k should be the minimum nowadays.
You mean they are LEGIT scammers? I lived a few blocks from BeachCamera when they opened a store in GreenBrook, NJ, So I KNOW them well. Could you say that? I don't know how they are lately but I have learned quite a few tactics they use. Haven't deal with them for about a decade but I doubt that they have change consider the way they were manipulated the laws.

I don't patronize thieves. What are you talking about? Beachcamera and buydig are legit.

I think it would help us all if you explained what was going on with them. I purchased a few items from both retailers and have had absolutely no problems. I woul dbe intrested to know if you are a disgruntled customer or observed serious fraud/scams occuring.

I purchased a two camcorders from them in 02, $816.95 ea.- One did not work - I sent it back and paid for another one and had to wait to get credited for the one I sent back "as soon as they receive it" - I spoke to Cris then Eli then Issy . They acknowledged they got back and told me I would be credited. Fighting with them for months trying to get my money back, Chris the salesman would not take my call, finally they claimed they don't have a record of the camcorder being returned - OUTRIGHT LIER'S - never got my money back / I guess you could say I am disgruntled.
They were always arrogant and obnoxious to talk to. Slim balls
Does that help you understand ? They probably do not need to steal from customers anymore, with the success of there Internet business, so go ahead and patronize them.

Going on a cruise in Alaska the end of July and would love to pick up the S3 for <$400 before I go to replace my old Olympus E-100RS
