Was looking for an external hard drive. This one suited me well.

Maxtor 80GB Personal Storage 3100 External Hard Drive

$79.90 Reg Price
- $14.92 Instant Savings
- $25 Coupon Savings (enter code 74973 at checkout)
= $39.98

- $9 ink coupons (3 x $3) = $30.98 + tax final price!!

I think its great cuz there are no rebates!
PPl might not like b/c of its "small" size and that its from Maxtor. But I'm just letting everyone in on this offer.

anny suggestions as to how to make this even better?

W00t Me! v00t v00t.

I wouldn't list the ink coupons as part of this deal. You could say "Don't forget to add ink coupons for up to $9 extra off".

The deal is basically $39.98 for an 80 GB External HD.

Thanks for updating the title from $31.

Decent price. In-stock for me (VA).

Where does it say that it requires external ac adapter?

So tempted but pass due to it requiring external ac power.

Agree here - title is very misleading, everybody knows that there are ink coupons blah blah blah, add it into your post at the end but please keep clarity in the title.

good deal.

not bad for a encloser and a hdd i would take out the 80 and put in a bigger hd if possable

koopons said: not bad for a encloser and a hdd i would take out the 80 and put in a bigger hd if possableThat's what I did. This thing had a 6 month warranty when I bought it but stopped working after 7 months. So I threw away the hd and use the case.

Does its enclosure support 200G hard drive if I replace the 80G hard drive?

koopons said: not bad for a encloser and a hdd i would take out the 80 and put in a bigger hd if possableYou'd spend $40 just for a 3.5" case to put another drive in?

Just got my little $11 rewards check and have a $5 to Cash Back bonus for using my discover card I wasn't using enough so did the order. Maybe my 16 year old son will use this instead of using my lappy as his external HD. Came to about
$26 with tax.

Thx.

Be VERY careful with these HDs. They have a 90 day warranty only.

I had this exact hard drive die after 120 days and Maxtor told me I was SOL. I lost all of my data on the drive. I'd rather pay a bit more for a WD, Seagate or Iomega.

Can anyone tell me where to get the ink coupon

take used oem or generic carts to Staples. They will give you $3 for each cart. OR you can buy them on eBay. 3 ink coupons per order online and YMMV at B&M stores.
