whether this lamp is ugly or not really depends on the style of your interior setting, if it fits then it adds to the romance, cosiness of your room; but if your room is some kind of postmodernism then this lamp is definitely out of the place...

I was like "Wow! A savings of $225! This must be an awesome lamp!"
This thing is hideous. It looks like something I'd put in my spare bedroom so that guests don't stay very long.
I'll third that. My daughter said, "it's perfect if you live in a swamp."

I bought my mom a $250 lamp made by Dale Tiffany for Christmas. It was a total POS. It was a large lamp which stood up. The stupid pole it stands on was crooked from day one, and it ended up falling over and shattering the "shade" (which was the glass tiffany-style part). In my opinion, it was worth MAYBE $15. Total rip-off.

Agreed. I'm buying it because it looks very antiqu-ish with the rest of my house. Thanks OP!
You sure it's a lamp, looks like a transporter malfunction on Star Trek...

I looked at it just in curiosity. OMG! I was laughing at it and commenting to my family how awful it was when my husband looked at it and said he liked it, alot! Who did I marry!!!
But it is an extremely good deal. I used to work in lighting and Dale Tiffany is a well respected lamp company.
This lamp may not be your taste but is modeled (that is "inspired") along the lines of L.C.Tiffany Art Nouveau lamps (c.1900) which fell out of favor in the 40s and 50s. Now the originals sell at auction for $250,000-$750,000. If you could get the clone on closeout and give it to your mother as a present, she'd forgive you for being so tech oriented.

I think this lamp could be "funky", in a good way, a friend of mine has a lamp very similar, took the glass shades off and used all different colored bulbs, now it looks pretty cool.
