This is a good deal. Do you think the driver would deliver the papers to the 3rd floor condo?

www.starledger.com/038PST05 $19.99 for 52 weeks Sunday and Thursday.

The Star-Ledger is not worth the money. It is mostly ads, very little news.

Good for the grocery coupons, buying the paper only Sundays would run you $52 a year and you have to go pick it up. I was looking for a good deal on it. Thanks OP!

Does anyone buy newspapers anymore ? I subscribe to the Home News Tribune but I'm thinking of cancelling.

Any good deals around for the Asbury Park Press?

Thanks op!

Damnit, I just signed up for $26 for like i think only 1/2 a year for same thing.

Yeah newspapers are lame, but when you wanna take a dump and need something to read they are good. Plus coupons, only reason to really buy the paper anyway.

In 4 1. Or should I say in 4 52. Thanks OP. Agree with others that the main value of the Star Ledger is the adds and coupons.

Instead of subscribing, if you buy a large coffee from Quick Chek (16 oz. or 20(?) oz.) you get a free copy of the Star Ledger (usually in a special display bin by the checkout counter).

Quick Chek has signs posted in the stores saying the free paper is Mon - Fri only, but they have the weekend editions in the same bins and I've asked and picked them up on weekends too.

wow this is a kick a-- deal. Thanks OP!

Just a quick question, will i receive 104 issues (52 thursday editions and 52 sunday editions) or is it something else? Im just confused.

I believe the Sunday subscription includes a Thursday newspaper and the Sunday newspaper.
Agree that the newspaper is mostly ads - good for coupons etc.

Too bad it's not available in my area (Bergen County); I too would sign up just for the coupons...

Good deal op.

Actually, the pages are too big for reading while I dump. They are full size papers.

The Ledger is actually my favorite NJ paper beacuse the while they do have a huge amount of ads, the articles are actually well written and not as childish as the Home News. I prefer the tabolid size NY papers for when I dump. Daily News for actual reading and better sports coverage and the NY Post for the gratuitious hot babe photos and their penchant for sensational stories like when Paul lo Duca and Michael Strahan's respective divorce proceedings got front page coverage while real news begins somewhere around page 10.

I would cancel after 52 weeks and sign up again.

Thanks OP!

This is YMMV. Dofferent stores have different specials and I have not seen this in either of the 2 QCs I frequent.

Actually ,the Sunday paper is $1.50, so cost of Sunday alone would normally be $78. The ledger always has the best coupons in the central NJ area, much more than the COurier or Home News.

So wait. You're criticizing the HNT for being written in a childish manner, yet you're rating newspapers on how they feel when you're taking a dump? And saying you prefer the NY tabloids as a result? LOL

That cute little paper that you can read on the bus/train/subway is a 'tabloid'.....

Thanks OP - signed up for the coupons

In 4 1. Great deal OP. Green for you.

Thanks Op in for 1 (or is that 52, or 104). I figure this way I won't have to go hunt for an ad when I am trying to price match. I find PMs go easier with a paper ad than with a website printout.

ran in to star ledger few months ago at a mall.

i was offered, $60 for 1 year and $40 as gift (mastercard).

net $20 for 1 year, all days.

There may be a gotcha if you live anywhere near Bergen County. All the circulars and coupons are delivered with the Saturday paper instead of Sunday in that area, just like the Record. It is probably different in Central Jersey, but beware in North Jersey.

JerseyJohn is correct, however, if you have Sunday only delivery, you will get the coupons etc with your Sunday paper. I have the same situation in my area, with the "daily" customers getting their coupons on Sat, i have only the Sunday and get the coupons in the Sunday paper.

Not a bad deal if like me, you do the ad shopping!

GOod post OP.

Thanks OP! I have been buying these from the store for like 1.50 a pop... hope they have the sunday coupons! Thats the only thing I read..haha.. thanks so much!

In for one. I wasn't going to do it but the wife says she wants it. At least its really cheap!

Thanks OP.
In for a subscription.
It's all about the coupons.

Now, since this is a ongoing subscription,
we will automatically be charged full price at the end of 52 weeks.
The key is to cancel at the end of 52 weeks.

r.
