Hey, have anyone try decktiles flooring from Costco.com ? I tried to decorate my balcony last month.
http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product.aspx?Prodid=11168507
Those made my balcony brighter and more colourful when i pull it up and snap again in the garden in just few secs.
Compare this kind of flooring to the bamboo rugs and anythings else i have used before, it is better in quality and cooler certainly.

Great idea. Why didn't I think of that? (Rushing off to file my patent for interlocking lawn tiles...or something)

Nice product.

Deck & Patio? Heck these would be great in a basement, sauna, bathroom or even on a boat.

$6 per s.f. is not bad, but where's the "Hot Deal"?

These are the same proce direct from the importer, www.vifahwholesale.com, to make the deal hot, if you need alot, set up a wholesal account and get up to 70% off list. You will probably have to buy at least a pallet, someting around 500 sq feet, and the 70% might not kick in unless you buy a container (more than you ever want to even think about) but could be hot if you have a big area or go in with some friends/neighbors.

I have not done this so YMMV, it has worked for me on a few occasions with other smallish importers.

My current deck is in pretty sad shape as far as the appearance of the boards. I was going to replace them, but am thinking of just buying a bunch of these tiles, and putting them on top. I'm a little concerned about the safety of walking on them on top of a deck. Has anyone tried this?

I think you rip out your old deck and simply put the tiles on the bare ground where your old deck used to be.

Not only Costco is offering the 12" x 12" Deck Tile, but they are also now offering Deck Plank 12" x 24", 12" x 36", 12" x 48", in various length. Instead of parquet look, now the deck is looking really like a hardwood deck floor with long planks.

Great innovation.

I think VIFAH Wholesale is the manufacturer / wholesale distributor. Bad news is that they only sell to resellers like Costco and other retailers and builders. They don't normally work with end consumers like us directly; unless you have a really big project to meet their minimum purchase requirement. It's still worth while to check out their site any way as they have a lot of good information on the product.

Anyone know what these can be reasonably installed on top of? Cement? Sand? Gravel? Dirt?

Deck planks are free shipping and handling at Costco online.
