Thanks op

Get this and a $8 mechanical timer to warm your bed up for an hour before you hit it each night.

Heaven.

picked one up...thanks.

use mastercard code "play10" for $10 off $49.

would this damage memory foam?

Thanks OP!

Anybody has this? Just want to know how much watts it use.

I've liked the idea of getting one of these but do yuo still put a pad over the top. It looks like you'd feel the coils thru otherwise. Anyone have any experience with these please post.

Thanks!

I've been craving for a warming pad every night I hop into bed. I already have a mattress pad -- can I put this electric warming mattress pad UNDER my existing mattress pad?

I don't have this particular brand but my heated mattress pad is great. A quality one you don't really think about the coils. Yes they're there put if it's squishy enough it's fine. I actually have it over a pad I already have.

Any input. Are their any new codes available & does this need a mattress pad topper with the coils??

The one I ordered hasn't been delivered yet so I won't be able to check the manual until it arrives. Hopefully some of the questions will be answered then.

Thanks for providing the info in advance!

Instructions:

Making your bed: Place your new mattress pad under the bottom sheet as you would an ordinary mattress pad.

Here are the safety instructions recapped:

Do not use with an infant, an immobile person or someone insensitive to heat.

Do not tuck in the wired area of the pad

Keep the control away from radiators and from drafty areas that may become wet or damp

Do not use pins - they may damage the wiring

Use only with AC supply circuit of the proper voltage

Turn off the controller when not in use

Avoid folding, bunching or balling up the mattress pad. The mattress pad should fit flat and firmly in place. Make sure it is tucked in evenly around the mattress to hold it flat and firmly in place.

Do not dry clean the mattress pad

If improper operation of the mattress pad is observed, discontinue its use and consult the manufacturer regarding its repair.

Do not trap or pinch electric cords between bed slats, mattress or box springs, bed frames or against the wall or footboard

Keep all pets, dogs and cats away from the mattress pad.

Use the mattress pad only on the size of bed for which it is intended i.e., twin, full, queen or king.

Do not use on a waterbed, on a couch, on a sofa bed, on a bunk bed or mechanically adjustable bed

Never remove the mattress pad without first unplugging your controls from the wall outlet

Do not iron the mattress pad.

Not for hotel, motel or other use

Wrapping the cord around the controller may damage the cord. Loop loosely when storing.

The instruction booklet does not have any information on energy consumption.

On initial glance, the mattress pad does not look like it will feel uncomfortable when it is put under the bottom sheet.

Hope that this answers some questions.

Is this electric warming mattress pad comfortable to sleep on? I'm debating of whether to grab one of these or get an electric warmer (eg. Sealy's here)

I just need something to warm my bed up before jumping in at night. Kind of need one badly as it's getting cold. Also Wal-Mart has Sunbeam Electric Warming Blanket here that is cheaper). Anyone opinions appreciated. Thanks.

The Restwarmer matress pad is comfortable to sleep on. The wires are integrated within the fabric so they are somewhat cushioned. You'll probably feel them the first night but after that, you won't seem to notice them. The mattress pad itself is the same fabric as used in many non-electric mattress pads.

The reason I didn't go with an electric blanket is that many blankets have restrictions on other bedding being used on top of the blankets, pets sleeping on the blanket, folding or creasing the blanket, etc. The mattress pad obviously does not restrict the use of bedding over the pad nor people/pets sleeping on top of it. And since the mattress pad is anchored on the mattress, there's little chance of the wires getting folded/creased.

I have 2 Sunbeam electric blankets and both stopped working for some reason - only 1 season of use for each blanket. I never even knew heated mattress pads existed until I went to New Zealand a couple years ago. All the B&Bs used electric mattress pads, and they were sooo warm. So, when I got back to the States, I went shopping and found this mattress pad. I've been nice and toasty in the winter since. I think when you first use it, you might feel the wires, but after a night or two, you won't even realize they're there. The dual controls are nice as I tend to like it warmer than my husband.

These are great! They are really nice when it is cold outside, especially if you like to use thermostat night setback to save energy.

One quibble (with the Restwarmer I have, may not be true of current models) is that the control has a thermostat built-in and won't come on at all unless the room temp drops below 70 degrees F. I'd rather be able to set a low, contstant warming, regardless of room temp.

And I use the el-cheapo plug in mechanical timer to turn it on before bedtime and off again in the morning.

Does anyone know is this mattress pad will fit pillow-top mattresses? I need something that will an extra deep mattress. I was unable to find anything stating the size the mattress will fit. Thanks!

My mattress is just about 15" thick and the mattress pad fit it without a problem. Even if your mattress is thicker than 15", you basically just need the mattress pad to be able to grip enough of the mattress side to stay without shifting.
