The reviews aren't so good. Apparently only works for 2 or 3 minutes. Thanks for trying OP. |

Just a warning to some of folks buying this for office. This is definitely a fire hazard since there's a tendency for one to leave it on extend period of time.

Yeah these are a definite fire hazard, I wouldn't use it in my house if it was free, as I'm sure with this cheap model it uses heated wires(red hot) that the fan blows across. I would highly suggest a heater with a ceramic heater element. They are more efficient and much safer. |

I was thinking of Ceramic heater too. But from the pic it seem to be wires. But also this is extremely cheap. I'll sleep on it. Thanks OP. |

So what do you have to lose?? If it sucks bring it back within 30 days. Circuity City is selling these, not the graveyard mall. If they were that bad CC would throw them out rather than risk a lawsuit. In for 3, thanks OP. |

Edit: Well I WAS in for 2, but CC just called and said they are oos. Oh well. You should have gone anyway with your online order. Since they couldnt produce the item they would of had to given you a $24 giftcard. You can STILL go. |

My late Mother-in-law bought this very heater for me 2 years ago. Let's just put it this way....my hair dryer puts out more heat than this heater! Not only that but it takes more electricity to run than my hair dryer. I would waste the money on this. If you are in need of a heater WalMart has them for under $10 that work A LOT better. I'm guessing you meant to say, "I wouldn't waste my money on this." Thanks for the review. |

How cold are your homes? This compact heater works and is plenty warm at the low setting - no need to run it at that whopping 1500.
Best as a supplement when turning the whole house heat down and just boosting the room you're in. Very quiet too. The fan only setting outputs a gentle breeze, so don't rely on it for cooling in summer.
And it does not only work for 2-3 minutes if you set it right. I'd suggest reading the instructions again. You're supposed to turn it up on max (not the high/low setting) on the temperature dial and then turning it down until it stops when it's the right temp for your comfort. It will then cycle on and off to maintain it.
Since it does cycle on and off, the hazard is minimized since it won't likely be so cold that it will run constantly for an extended time. I've left it on all night and the exterior plastic housing stayed cool to touch.
It's OOS stock online anyway, but is well worth the under $5 price. |
