I called one of the stores and they have one of the worse customer services I have ever talked to. The salesman told me they have a total of 89 in there sourcing warehouse and only one at the actual store. He said its something you order and they will deliver. He also said its a in store only offer (which I expected).
dont hold your breath on this deal guys..this model has been out for cheaper by JandR and EE is #1 in Bait and Switch operations. Went there for a JBL center they guy tried to sell me Sony and then afterwards said they were sold out. but to each his own.
This also happened to my cousin. They had a camera for like $150, when my cousin refused warranty or accessories package, miraculously it was sold out.

Whenever they "have to" ship it to your house it's just an excuse to charge whatever they want in shipping charges. I bought a computer last BF at OfficeDepot and they charged me $100.00 in shipping!

Just picked up one from the East Brunswick,NJ store. No problems. They had 10 more left.So I think you have the wrong impresssion about this store.

Limocad you are the man, not only did you find this deal but check this out. I went to buy this online from this store the other day, cheapest I found in a while since a J&R music sale that I missed out on. I went to get it at the online $1039 price plus shipping (I dont think tax because I am new york). Did my final research and found your post on the Black friday deal. EXCITED- but not to excited because of the other posts about bait & switch. Call up this morning at 11:00 am at the Paramus location they say that they do not have any in stock. Figured the other posts were right, bait & switch. Then I saw your post that you got it. Called the East Brunswick, then called the other closer stores to my place - could not get through to these stores - then tried Paramus again - this time they say they have 1 in stock but that the Wayne NJ had 7 - Paramus was 20 minutes away, Wayne is 40 minutes. My wife said lets just go to Wayne - I said lets try Paramus maybe we will get the last one. Got there - THEY HAD 5 left. THe guy says that the other 4 just came in. This did not sound Kosher to me. THen he said the ad was wrong, it was supposed to be the Westy 37" version 2. Kind of shady but I dont care--he gave the Version 3 8ms to me at the $795 price. Now it is sitting in my living room ready to set up to my computer later on.
just back from East Brunswick store. They still have the monitors in stock. However, I had to pass this one. When I talked to the manager, I was told that basically if I don't buy their extended warranty, I will be on my own and if there is anything wrong with the new TV, I have to deal with the factory instead of the store. I just don't feel comfortable for this kind of policy. I thought the store at least should provide some basic gurantee that my new TV does not come with the defect and work as it is designed to do. The way the store tried to take the reponsibility off make me worried and I also don't know how much I can trust their extended warranty. That being said, the price is awesome and congratulations to you guys who took the plunge and enjoy your TV. I will wait something bigger, maybe.
Limocad, thank yo so much for your post!!!! Is unbelievable how these posts have the ability to change peoples lives. I know yours did!! I spent the last 3 days reading posts, and trying to decide what to buy. No luck online with anything. Didn't want to go near BB or CC. Kept reading posts until yours appeared. I went to the Woodbridge store. The sales rep tells me: is sold out, but we'll be getting some more next week, do you want a raincheck? I said for the same price? He said yes. OK sure. He then proceeded to punch my info in the computer, gave me a little piece of paper with a number and tells me to go to Customer Service desk, and you'll be all set. The girl in CS desk tells me you have to pay now, this paper is not for a raincheck, it's for a sale. She consulted with the Store Manager who tells me I have to pay now. I said do you really expect me to pay $800.00 now and walk out of the store with nothing? He said we'll get it on Tuesday. I'll said Ok then I'll pay you Tuesday when I pick up. He said no, you have to pay now. I left. Thanks also to the other people that posted about this bait and switch thing. I went to East Brunswick, and around 6pm bought what he told me to be the last one in stock. This sales rep wanted to sell me a special cable to connect this unit to my Comcast Box, and I politely said no (because I know I can get it cheaper once I get informed in here), but out of curiosity I asked how much it was, he said $ 100.00. Really? I don't think so, I'll figure something out. He said you will need this cable if you want to use this unit. He was p.. off at me for not buying all these extra things! Oh, did they tell you? No returns!! Question for you guys, what should I do about this cable and replacement bulbs? and did you buy the 2 year warranty?
Nice story Cumparsita. These tvs are the bomb for gaming. I also passed on the warranty and cables -- blah. Electronics Expo does have a 30 day exchange policy for the same tv if they cannot repair it. If there are no problems out of the box, you will likely not have any problems anytime soon. Also 1 year manufacturer warranty--Westinghouse appears to have a good reputation. Outside of 1 year, I figure it is only $795, worth the gamble. I purchased a $2,000 Samsung Plasma a couple of years ago and did not get warranty, although Samsung had a 2 year manufacturer. I did purchase a warranty for my Sony Plasma, although that was arounf $5,000 - but of course, after about 3 years now, the tv is running great.
Also, I think you could go to a pretty reputable company called Repair Master and purchase a warranty online if you really need the comfort or price it to ElectronicsExpo, I dont know what their prices were.
The cable- I would go to eBay or Amazon and search for cheap component cable. The replacement bulbs - I am new at this, my other tvs are plasmas, actually I though that only the DLP had these but guess I have to look into these.
WHen the time comes, I will be back here looking for the deals for the bulbs.
I do know that the Repair Master warranty does not cover a bulb. I should have asked Electronics Expo if there warranty came included a replacement bulb.

I dont understand this Arthurking, they might have been trying to avoid selling it to you - because my receipt clearly says that they will service and replace if they cant fix (within the first 30 days of purchase), with a same model lcd tv. Another shady thing here-- bummer.
