I guess like someone previous said in one of the thread, it is going for $150 regular price after all.

Hack your c310x to have full access to Windows CE - Including MP4 Movie Playback, Winamp, and MS ActiveSync - compliments of stroths
1. Instructions - The directions are for the 510/710, but it works just the same on the 310 providing you use the CD method rather than the bluetooth (310 has no bluetooth)
2. Download Unlock-C510-Mioskins.zip

Here are some screenshots from my modded c310x
- MP4 Video Playback via TCPMP (It does full screen as well)
- Start Menu - You can start the default MP3 player, the Mapping software as well as other apps here
- System Info App
- Windows CE .Net 4.2 Desktop - This is what it boots to after the mod

EDIT: Download TCPMP .81 Beta RC1 - This is the last version before they started charging. The AAC plugin is included. This will run along side .72 and previous versions. If you don't want both, you will have to uninstall the old version as this installs in a new directory.

"B&M" in title would be helpful...some of us refuse to wait in line.

Where are you seeing that? Says it's a special 1 day only (max 1 per customer) sale in the flyer you posted. This is still going to go back into the $299+ range after today.

I called Fry's Plano (Texas) about an hour ago and they had 92 in stock. I just got back from there with one in case anyone else is in that area.

I don't know why people have not picked up on this, if you have a fry's nearby, they should have a ton of them. Unlike Staples, I waited inline to just so when I got to the door, the sign said it was sold out. Went to fry's, and they had stacks behind the cages, the bad part is that you would stand inline forever to get to the check out.

BTW, the $150 is likely to be the set price. I went back to Staples later and asked the manager about availibility. He said that the gps is still 'active', and he said that the gps can be paid/ordered in store for that price.

Around me (Chicago suburbs), a 'ton' at Fry's is typically only enough for the people who lined up more than an hour before the store opened.

Unlike all the other stores, Fry's idiotically does not advertise in the Thanksgiving paper. Rather, Fry's expects you to buy the newspaper at 5:30 a.m. as soon as it goes on sale, then speed-read it while driving to Fry's.

A Web site claimed to have today's ad early, but the site did not mention the Mio.

The sale at Staples was only for a few hours in the morning. Even if Staples had been accepting orders for the item, they presumably aren't now (at that price).

My Staples said that the only way they can place an order for a customer is through the Web site. If the web site shows the item out of stock (which it does), there is nothing they can do.

I also think $150 is just for today outpost link

Good deal if you can get one.

I haven't been able to find any in stock in the OC.

Really good price but I agree with earlier poster, I'll wait for another one that doesn't require me getting off the sofa. Similar GPS seems to be cheap everywhere this year, more good deals will come before x-mas.

Anyone in Los Angeles area?

No Mas in Socal LA & OC.

Frys will usually have tons and then runout and never restock. And when they do its often $50+ more than the cheap pricing. They do it on lots of popular items.

Thanks OP!

Anyone tried calling outpost.com and seeing if they'll do it at the in-store price? I don't know if that's something they normally do, but I've seen plenty of times where they have the same online specials as the stores. Currently it's showing $449.99 on the website.

I think their site is being hit hard, I am trying to download 1 meg update and it going at 600 bytes/SEC.

It does come with an A/C charger contrary to what it says on the box. I like the unit very sleek looking just hope the functionalites hold up. I didn't see anything fancy about syncing Contacts to it. Windows XP detected the device fine and for $150 its a VERY HOT DEAL.

I called all the DFW stores, and they are sold out. I wish I had seen this thread earlier.

Sold out at San Jose (Brokaw) store
