I guess like someone previous said in one of the thread, it is going for $150 regular price after all.

"B&M" in title would be helpful...some of us refuse to wait in line.

Where are you seeing that? Says it's a special 1 day only (max 1 per customer) sale in the flyer you posted. This is still going to go back into the $299+ range after today.

Current highest bid in eBay $257.50 check it out

I called Fry's Plano (Texas) about an hour ago and they had 92 in stock. I just got back from there with one in case anyone else is in that area.

I don't know why people have not picked up on this, if you have a fry's nearby, they should have a ton of them. Unlike Staples, I waited inline to just so when I got to the door, the sign said it was sold out. Went to fry's, and they had stacks behind the cages, the bad part is that you would stand inline forever to get to the check out.

BTW, the $150 is likely to be the set price. I went back to Staples later and asked the manager about availibility. He said that the gps is still 'active', and he said that the gps can be paid/ordered in store for that price.

Around me (Chicago suburbs), a 'ton' at Fry's is typically only enough for the people who lined up more than an hour before the store opened.

Unlike all the other stores, Fry's idiotically does not advertise in the Thanksgiving paper. Rather, Fry's expects you to buy the newspaper at 5:30 a.m. as soon as it goes on sale, then speed-read it while driving to Fry's.

A Web site claimed to have today's ad early, but the site did not mention the Mio.

The sale at Staples was only for a few hours in the morning. Even if Staples had been accepting orders for the item, they presumably aren't now (at that price).

My Staples said that the only way they can place an order for a customer is through the Web site. If the web site shows the item out of stock (which it does), there is nothing they can do.

I also think $150 is just for today outpost link

Good deal if you can get one.

I haven't been able to find any in stock in the OC.

Really good price but I agree with earlier poster, I'll wait for another one that doesn't require me getting off the sofa. Similar GPS seems to be cheap everywhere this year, more good deals will come before x-mas.

Anyone in Los Angeles area?

No Mas in Socal LA & OC.

Frys will usually have tons and then runout and never restock. And when they do its often $50+ more than the cheap pricing. They do it on lots of popular items.

Thanks OP!

Anyone tried calling outpost.com and seeing if they'll do it at the in-store price? I don't know if that's something they normally do, but I've seen plenty of times where they have the same online specials as the stores. Currently it's showing $449.99 on the website.

I think their site is being hit hard, I am trying to download 1 meg update and it going at 600 bytes/SEC.

http://service.mio-tech.com/M0100/F0130_1.aspx

It does come with an A/C charger contrary to what it says on the box. I like the unit very sleek looking just hope the functionalites hold up. I didn't see anything fancy about syncing Contacts to it. Windows XP detected the device fine and for $150 its a VERY HOT DEAL.

I called all the DFW stores, and they are sold out. I wish I had seen this thread earlier.

Sold out at San Jose (Brokaw) store

<font color=white style="background-color: #3E3E3E;">Enable MP4 Movie Playback, ActiveSync, Winamp and other hacks on the Mio C310x - I added instructions to the "Quick Tips" right under the first post of this thread for those interested. I've already done it to mine.

I tried the hack but I can not find Utils folder under My Flash disk.
What Version of the MioMap you have.
I have Version 3.2 instead of V3 show on the site(I think this is the problem)

Any body have this problem?

That's so awesome, thanks for sharing that info. I'm kicking myself now for not buying the 1gb sd card for $3 at Staples...

I have 3.2 of the MioMap, but I did not have the issue with no utils folder. When you run the "Unlock-C510-Mioskins.cab from the \\My Flash Disk\\Miomap\\Miomap directory, you should get a popup asking where to install. Look at the bottom of page 6 of the French PDF install file included in the zip. I know it's French, but it gives screenshots. You will see where it asks you where to install and it shows \\My Flash Disk\\Utils. Do you remember seeing this step? If so, you needed to make sure you hit ENTER on the virtual keyboard.

Good morning all - Does ANYONE know who may still have these in stock? I'm in No Cal and have had no luck finding one...

Here's a YMMV: Trying finding one at a CompUSA and price matching to CC.
CompUSA still has some for delivery and some instore (I checked my own local area) because they decided to price them a little higher than the competition on Friday (by $30). Now price is back to normal at $299.00

CompUSA's flyer for sundays sale 11/26 has the 310x for 199.00 in NJ

thanks -
I'll call around or keep trolling the net -

I got the one from CompUSA on Thursday night, went back next day and they PM'ed it to Staples for $150 but they re-rang up the item so I doubt I would qualify for the $50 MIR.

Can someone recommend a good media player for the mio? Also any other good programs that you would recommend? Not sure where to look for Windows CE stuff.

Jumped down to my local CC and picked one of these up for $199 this morning. They had another 4-5 in stock, but CC-Online was saying they weren't available. This was in NoVA @ Bailey's Crossroads.

bought one on Friday. Austin Fry's bm. seems ok.havenot tested on road.

also got 3 years warraty in store $14.99

For a media player, I would suggest TCPMP. Look at the FAQ section of this thread (right under 1st post) for details on how to accomplish this.

Thanks, yea I was able to hack it.

Just trying to get directions on this its a bit tricky, very touchy product for sure. I am not sure if I am going to keep it or not but definitely a good deal or is it? I see so many other products now for the same price or fore $50 - $100 more you get a larger screen and bluetooth.

Still thanks OP, I always wanted a GPS couldn't afford one until now.

My subdivision is 2 years old now but still it can't locate us not sure how long it takes before its updated.

I want to know about this too. For $200, you get a GPS with larger than 3.5" LCD monitor (possibly 4" or larger), AND a bluetooth capability. sounds like no brainer to me.

Media player link ( TCPMP )

Not sure which one to use I am d/ling it now but though I share the link.

But the price is up to $299.99, unless I am missing something.
