Retailers are clearing out the 5900 for the cheaper 5800 model news article [earlier threads mention Target and others deep discounts]. I found the 5900 model at Sam's Club this past Friday in the markdown section of the store - $150. You might still be able to find some out there.
Mulligan said: Is the newer model cheaper and better or just cheaper. This something I think I need for my tile floors. Thanks robot experts. The newer model (5800) has a battery with less capacity, however, this only becomes an issue if you need to clean two spaces back to back. The Scooba cleans a room roughly 250 sq.ft. Model 5900 would let you do this twice before the battery is exhausted. Also, the 5800 can run on water alone for those who don't want to use the Scooba cleaner solution. Both models can use vinegar solution if you don't mind the smell.

Seems like a good deal to me, still gonna hold out though looking for $150!
