D'oh. Too bad renewals don't get the deal....

"At Go Daddy®, we thrive on competition, speed and power," and the oppurtunity to spam your email for life even when you unsubscribe, and report us to your ISP.

Yeah go ahead and go with GoDaddy.com. I guarantee you won't foget them.

Why the owner of Fatwallet even lets these arses continue business here I will never understand. Maybe the customer service is just so good at both sites it is unbelievable.

Amen!

Go with Register.com

I have over 70 domains with godady and love them. Thanks OP. In for one more.

Anyone have coupon codes for renewal at GoDaddy?

why so many?

Yeah, I'd really love to know about renewal deals rather than new domain deals.

I have about 49 or so. The reason for having them is if they're decent ones, they'll generate some income for you just for having it. The internet is getting more crowded, most of the good domain names are gone. if you find a good one.... hold onto it, they're essentially cheap investments that can appreciate over time. Use special promotions and deals to get good deals on bulk domain registrations. I also use GoDaddy.

How do they generate you income?

For example, if some big firm wants a domain name and you hold it, they will pay big money to get it from you or drag you to the court .. . like nissan.com

Mainly it's the ads. Courtesy of google adsense. You have to get domains that will get traffic, not just register nonsense domain names. It's a competitive space and a lot of good domain names are taken, however some do expire due to neglegence on the part of the domain owner to renew and that's your chance to snap em up.

You ever been to any domains that have nothing buy ads on the front? Those are the kinds that are generally worth owning. If you can attain 165 low traffic domains that generate $1 each in revenue each day. You'd make $60,000+ in annual income.

Also, there's a chance of a payday too when a big entity wants your domain and pays for it.

Unfortunately, they don't ever give coupons for renewals.

Two things happen... either you own a domain name that you don't have a right to and the company steals it away in court. Or you have a generic domain name and someone would rather just pick up another generic name for $8 instead.
