blueiedgod said:isles1 said:pvr6 said:Jamak FabricationOkay, so you bought them at WalMart...where do we buy them from with Free S/H? You have three links in your OP and no mention of who is offering the wipers for < $10 shipped.

I think OP meant that free s/h is for the replacement under warranty. That is, when u try to get the originally purchased wipers replaced from the manufacturer.

But still no item on WalMart.com. Guess its only YMMV. wierd since on the manufacturer website, they state that WalMart is an authorized dealer...
So they charge me $10 to replace an item under warranty but ship it for free or these wipers cost me $10 at some phantom store?

Sorry, but that doesn't make sence...OP should clarify what the deal actually is here. Red for being a cryptic deal and no link for purchase or mention of B&M only.

I think I am going to have to type slowly, so you understand. On the side note, I want to smoke whatever you are smoking.

Step 1. Buy TripleEdge wipers from WalMart for about $10.
Step 2. Send in registration card that is inside the package.
Step 3. Install the wipers.
Step 4. Use the wipers whenever it rains, snows or the windshield is otherwise dirty.
Step 5. Use them a multiple times.
Step 6. When they wear out, call the number on the website or the copy of your registration card that you sent in at step 2.
Step 7. If you sent in registration card, the replacements ship for free.
Step 8. Once the replacements arrive, take the old ones off, and install the new ones. Go back to Step 4.

Does it make sense now?My point was: "Where is the deal?" The OP is misleading as this is apparently a B&M only and/or YMMV deal. I assume these are still in stock because the OP bought his 6 months ago?

I guess we are making an exception here as there are generally cries for the OP to "fix the title" or something along those lines. Regardless, now I can sleep because you gave me step-by-step instructions. I hope that process made you feel smart.

My experience with Tripledge has been great. I bought 2 assemblies about 3 years ago for about $6 each at WalMart (they're around $9 now). About a month ago, the plastic clip holding the blade on snapped off. I went to their website and called them for the replacements. They've updated their database so they asked for my address again. A week later I received a box in the mail($5 postage). Inside was a set of new Tripledge wipers, the exact sizes for my car. I would highly recommend them. Maybe I should call for a replacement every year so I can use the old ones for backup.

Boy this sounded really good until it was said the Tripledge blades dont work well with Rain-X. I always use Rain-X

I have the same pair of Tripledge wipers on my car since 1997. You don't need Rain-X. The wipers probably leave a thin layer of silicone since my windshield beads up, even with the morning dew. At freeway speeds the water just runs off the windshield. You don't really need to use the wipers.

It's the same for the other cars in my family (same set of Tripledge since 1993, 1997, 1999, and 2005, depending on when the car was bought).

I have used Rain-X and TripleEdge blades combination on 9 different family vehilces the past 14 years. I only had a problem on one car.

Totally different question - noobs to cars as well - so goto learn

Is the wiper assembly generic for all car models?
Will this fit for a 95 Camry?

Would appreciate an answer. Tx.

If not generic are specific models available at WalMart?

Using more than one edge can cause additional wear on your windshield

HOLY CRAP! This is the Stupidest statement I have ever heard. YOU mean to tell me that YOU think that three little rubber blades are going to wear out your windshield?? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Oh... Wait... Did you say you were using the Diamond encrusted wipers?? Are you driving a 1955 Jeep with a paper windshield?

I have been using these for two years, in the Florida Sun, and only replaced them once. They work great.

I personally haven't had any experience with these-but I was listening to Car Talk the other day, and they mentioned the quality of the glass in windshields have gone way down since the 70's. Don't know about excessive wear due a windshield wiper, but glass on my 2004 CR-V is definitely not as smooth as it use to be.

LOL .. my friend got cut off in NYC traffic and LIGHTLY punched the windshield in their Ford SUV and the windshield puckered and spidered. They had to get the whole thing replaced.

thats what he gets for buying a ford

Yes. His windshield cracked only because it was a Ford. Do you realize how stupid you sound to the rest of fatwallet just now? Ford doesn't manufacture windshields, in fact, the same company makes windshields for many other automakers. My family has had fords for the past 10 years and they NEVER broke down on us. Keep your "american cars suck" comments to yourself.

Yes.

My fear is that if youhave to ask, you will probably need someone to replace them for you. I suggest you break out the OWNER's MANUAL and read up on the maintenance and repair chapter. There is a ton of useful info in there.

Agreed, folks who can't figure out how to use an easy "application" guide probably shouldn't attempt to replace their own blades or arms.

I like these lifetime replacement deals. Kragen's has LR on some of their brake pads, I've replaced 4 sets so far for only the original cost, can't beat that! Swap 'em out when they have about 25% left, so far I've only had to lightly resurface the discs, so it also saves me the cost of replacing them.

From someone who just gets tired of replacing wipers because of the skipping, I'm getting some of these. As soon as it starts up, I'm calling for replacements. I don't know if it's all Toyota SUV's, but we've had this problem for awhile now.

Thanks OP

What I'm really interested in are these. Do the Glider line have the same warranty as the TriplEdge line? Do all Jamak wipers have the same warranty or is it different for each line?

1. Take a tape measure and measure how long the wiper blades are in inches.
2. Go to WalMart and get the numbers that you measured.
