Just came back from local Target with some clearance items in their golf section.
I've seen these from time to time, may just be regional (Texas), but I'm not sure.

Lots of golf ball boxes were less than half off. Not any premimum brands, but more of your average ones: Top-flight, Maxflite, Wilson.
Normal priced around ~$15 were selling for ~$6-7.

Also some Nike and Callaway golf gloves were half-off.

Not bad for a hacker like me.

I am glad that it was posted here since I don't subscribe to the target clearance thread. Thank you OP

Sooo???? Not everyone constantly checks the Target clearance thread for updates. Why do people constantly pop a proverbial boner to be the first to post "REPOST"?? Nice find OP and thanks.

Great find OP my Target in OHIO had hats, gloves, balls, and clubs on clearance.
Nice Find OP green for you

Why are you thinking about his boner?

i too just returned from target and they have (on clearance) an Eddie Bauer tent type screen room 14' x12' for sitting in bug free. was $99, now $24.99. good quality, great price. obviously ymmv.

I picked up a nice Top Flite full set of clubs for 75% off the other day...Orig. $199.99, I paid $49.98. A very nice set for the price.

Top Flite HCT golf set
DPCI = 088-04-0340

This is always the best time of year to stock up on some scratch golf balls from Target, once they hit 75% off.

Now $50 is worth it to me!! Thanks, I'll have the wife drive by Tarrjet on the way home.

Nice post OP, even though my Target normally lags well behind on clearance.

I agree on the thanks for posting. Everyone doesn't subscribe and constantly check the Target, Office Depot, Home Depot, etc threads, so I don't consider this a repost.

I don't golf now , but thinking of taking a few classes this coming season. Is it worth spending 50 (assuming my local Target have them on clearance) now ? Are they good for a beginner ?

50 is about as cheap as you will ever find golf clubs not labeled "Fischer-Price"

Go ahead and snag a set, beat em up learning the game, and once you get your swing grooved, go get fitted for real clubs.

yep

The sale at my target was not that great....$12 discounted to 9.02...what kind a deal is that...did not see any other great golf deals.

Sale at my Target also not so good.

Sale was only for the cheap balls like top flite xl 3000. Discounted from 14.99 to 7.98.

None of the premium balls were discounted (Maxfli Rev, Blackmax, Titleist of any kind, Nike One Black) or even the middle-grade balls (maxfli-noodle).

Nike gold were however discounted from 29.99 to 20.98, had they been 50% off I might have taken them but the $10 discount I can easily find on eBay.

Well, I did post it in the clearance thread...but once I saw this one, I figured it had a place.

awesome, i'll be sure to check target tomorrow to see if i can stock up on some gloves or tees or whatever...

I got a Taylormade cart bag for $12.50 marked down from $99, and a few TM gloves for $7. Also got two Cleveland wedges for $6.50 each, they wouldn't scan so the guy just matched to the price of the closest thing which was the junky Cougar wedge on clearance. That deal I will be hard pressed to ever beat.

Waiting for the better balls, especially the Precept U-tri Tour to come down.

OP, you should have posted this to the correct thread: "Target Clearance Thread". Here's the link: Linky
A good deal is always better in the right place.
Also, you don't have to "subscribe" to the clearance thread to be able to view it, its great and super fast, and cuts down on the hard work these fine folks at FW do to cut down on "reposts".

I am not a he and this is said to keep many clearance posts from clogging up the board. Makes for a much easier find.

Why wouldn't you want to take advantage of every clearance opportunity if available and applicable?

hot deal, posted in the hot deals section of a deals forum-looks correct to me!

The only thing I saw in that thread was about a 30% reduction? Based on the number of replies to this (and most other) single threads, it's obvious that many things wouldn't be seen by the largest number of fw'ers if they were posted there.

Many thanks op!

Checked another target today and bought some golf shoes at 50% off. Regular 29.98 for 14.98....what was strange is another target by me had them for 20.98 and I passed....

Thanks for putting in separate thread....

got the cougar cat 18pc golf set and Johan Daly 16pc set for 59.99 and 74.99 resp.

I second exactly this - esp. once you're into it again, make sure to get fitted for clubs that work for you. Makes a real difference.

Just wanted to update that at least one target store in my area now has many golf items at 75% off.
I picked up an assortment of Nike clubs for my kids for $10 each (normally $39.99), a Wilson T7 driver for $15(normally $60), an Adams driver for $25(normally $99.99), and several gloves (Nike's, Callaway's, and TaylorMade's for like $2.50 or $3.50)

The bad news is that when I checked two other Target stores in my area, they were both only 50% off on almost all of those items.
