Just bought 5 Black & Decker Cordless Drills 18 volt with Radio Charger on Clearance for $9.75 at Lowe's Champaign IL. Not sure if this is local or national?? YMMV Item 3103 18v Drill and Radio
the question is whether the price came up automatically when scanned or if the cashier had to override the price

The reciept actually says 3103, they had about 40 on a pallet in the middle ilse in front of tools and a nice printed paper sign on the stack. Unless they print there own fancy clearance signs i would guess other Lowe's have the same. They all scanned and so did the 2 that nearly everyone in line had.
Checked Frankfort, KY store. Had plenty of 3103 but they still rang up $39. I took one up to the front cashier and had her scan it. Score for you OP. I'll have to keep an eye on this in case they clear them out soon. Many of the Black and Decker items were marked down but not this. Will Lowe's match a price if I have proof of another store's price (scanned receipt)? Or could I have them call the Champagne, IL store to confirm clearance price?

Other local stores were still full price. Next closest store that had it on clearance was about 40 miles away.

They are on clearance at most stores. The individual stores usually don't start blowing them out until their getting close to inventory time. My local store (long beach, ca)has these on clearance for 19.99. The manager will give it to you for 9.99(75% off, I know because I just did this for my kid) if you prod him. When it gets closer to inventory time these will be 75% off. If any are left the weekend before inventory, you could usually pick them up for 90% off. My store is doing inventory in about 3-4 weeks. A big YYMM at your store.
