This is similar as previous deal, expect this from Dell home, so you can use your dpa for 2% and FatCash for another 3%. Someone may save on tax because this is from Home division.

maybe another 2 years of your life waiting.
eh, no biggie. I have a Tivo already, but it isn't HD. I will wait till the HD one comes down in price

Geez, I got the Directv HD DVR for free. They just activated the OTA tuner on it so I am able to record MUCH HD programming goodness. No way would I pay $600 for a freakin' receiver. But if you are into that sort of thing, decent deal OP.
Then put that in your post and figure in the cost of the coupon into the price of the Tivo. And you should have put "coupon needed" in the thread title. Someone would think they could just visit D3ll home and buy it for $568. You should state the price before the 10% off and before FC and DPA. Or at least say $568 after FC and DPA and a 10% coupon you have to buy for more money.
I say we make a post with every item from Dell w/ 10% off coupon.
Dell home is now = to all other places when it comes to tax now for the most part.
668-10% is what the old deal was... adding in 2% DPA and 3% FatCash is the only difference.

I cannot find any mention of the DPA discount on Dell's site. Is that still available?
<UPDATE> Never mind. I found it by search FW forums. For those interested, go to checkout, select "Pay by 1 Credit/Debit Card", and on the next screen it will offer the discount for a DPA.
I got the price listed above (plus tax) and free shipping and 6 months interest free. Thanks a ton! Great deal!

Good idea. I'll try to work on it to give back to fw.

A 3k member that doesn't know the difference between a S3 and the DirecTV white-box crud? This is a good deal for those who want/need it. I'll admit that with the CC1 slots it has limited functionality, but the interface is head and shoulders above the OEM players offered by both sat and cable cos. I've seen both and decided that when they turn off my HD-DTivo, I'm switching away from DTV.

A Senior member that doesn't understand that this is a deal site and that free is a much better deal than $600 even with limited functionality versus the Tivo 3. The $600 I saved went a long way towards my 42" LCD I am using to watch jaw dropping HD recorded on my so called inferior Directv unit. Hell, that is enough to pay for almost a years worth of service. As I stated, only a deal if you are anal enough to "need" this and justify dropping 600 clams for it.
PS I am sure that D will be devastated to lose your business. LMAO

Why fight when you can get VIP 622 for free from Dish. It is much better receiver then DTV and probably Tivo. You can record 3 program at a time (1 over the air and 2 satellite) while watching 2 recorded programs. Does all the things like Dishpass where it will record new shows or search your shows in advance..... http://www.dishnetwork.com/content/programming/dishhd/index.shtml Hope this helps, I am pretty happy with this receiver and dish in general

Having owned a Tivo series 1 and 2, the DirecTV HD-DVR, and a Scientific Atlanta HD-DVR, and having used a DishNetwork HD-DVR frequently at a friend's house, the Tivo interface and functionality is head and shoulders above the service provider-branded units. I am currently only able to subscribe to cable due to my HOA rules (townhouse community) and am using the Time Warner HD-DVRs but I will definitely buy the Series 3 units when the price falls below $500 delivered.

The FCC doesn't allow HOA's to limit installation of small dishes.:
"Q: What types of restrictions are prohibited?
A: The rule prohibits restrictions that impair a person's ability to install, maintain, or use an antenna covered by the rule. The rule applies to state or local laws or regulations, including zoning, land-use or building regulations, private covenants, homeowners' association rules, condominium or cooperative association restrictions, lease restrictions, or similar restrictions on property within the exclusive use or control of the antenna user where the user has an ownership or leasehold interest in the property. A restriction impairs if it: (1) unreasonably delays or prevents use of; (2) unreasonably increases the cost of; or (3) precludes a person from receiving or transmitting an acceptable quality signal from an antenna covered under the rule. The rule does not prohibit legitimate safety restrictions or restrictions designed to preserve designated or eligible historic or prehistoric properties, provided the restriction is no more burdensome than necessary to accomplish the safety or preservation purpose. I hate condo associations who think they know everything. I fought my board, got a rep from the FCC office call them on the phone and got their idiot laywer-for-hire to shut up.
Anyhow, that really, really sucks that D3LL raised their price to the OLD $799 retail list. Shame on you D3LL.

Would someone mind flagging this as a dead deal, since Dell upped the base price of the Tivo to 799?
add $12.92 for 3 day shipping for total of $637.89
It's showing as $709 BS in the cart for me. Am I missing a coupon or something?
