It happens with all noise-isolating headphones, because they are so tightly in your ear. It happens with my Shure e2c's. This is no indication of whether your headphones are real or fake. |

Dude, we all know they're fakes. What we want to know is how they compare acoustically. Since you own both, what do you think? Hook them up to a radio for a day or two for burning and then let us know how they compare.
I've got a pair of ep630's and wouldn't mind having a backup fake if they were similar. Before I bought them I checked out some of the threads at headfi debating the whole are-ep630's-the-same-as-senn-600's thing. A guy who bought a pair of each said the creatives were good at some audio qualities but lacked in others that the senns were good for. Then another dude who also got both pairs pretty much said exactly the opposite - it was almost like one of them got mislabeled merchandise.
This made it seem to me that the way your phones sound depends upon the batch that they come from - each batch has slightly different qualities. Most of these OEM's have the J-cord, which come on the Senn's. I'm don't know what the reason is - maybe they're cheaper or the chinese who produce them think they're more stylish or whatever. But maybe they just sell better when they're called ep630's because these are cheaper than Senns so Americans on fleabay are more likely to believe they're not random generic crap.
Since you have both, how do they compare? They don't have to be exactly the same, but are the fakes of close audio quality? |

I compared the audio quality tonight. from what i can tell (which isn't much) the original ones have a cleaner bass and it's louder while the "fake" ones seems little muffled. but when i asked my roommate to see if he can tell the difference without telling him which is which. he couldn't tell the difference at first, but then said that the original ones are louder if anything. the earbuds are well worth the money and the sound quality is comparable to the original ep630.
the build quality however...the fake ones falls short. the cord is stiff and i can see a slight opening between the backing and the silver part on one of the earbuds. the J cord configuration seems really short. (i have the sony 71sl as well.) the right bud is only about 7inches longer than the left bud. lastly, the silicon buds feels softer and more comfortable on the original. |

This deal is no longer as attractive. Cheapest shipping for a pair of their earphones is now $4.95. That is an increase of almost 25% on the entire order amount for one pair. They claim that increase in airmail charges due to higher oil costs are behind the shipping increase. |
