One question (and I'm sure I already know the answer), the CC link provided shows 1GB of RAM however the Features list 2GB of RAM. Which is it?

Didn't catch that but I am quite certain they mean expandable to 2gb with 1gb installed

The BB ad summary for this laptop at SD lists graphics as ATI Radeon Xpress 200M

Very seriously considering this one as a cheap home laptop for a friend--I'd actually prefer it came with XP, since I'm still leery of Vista, but seems like a good deal overall.

XP was much better than previous Windows, but it is gone now and will not be coming back. Vista is here to stay -- sorry. You might as well take the plunge as you will sooner or later... Getting Vista for free with a new computer is way better than getting XP...
