I pre-ordered this for $599 on 1/27. It is scheduled to ship tomorrow (on 2/13). CC now sells this for $700 with a $100 rebate good from 2/11 to 2/17.

So...the twenty dollar question is whether I can get this new $100 rebate????

I called cc and asked (without giving my name) what the date on my receipt will be and they said 2/13, which will also be the date my card is actually charged.

There is nothing on the rebate form stating a minimum purchase price.

Anyone have any experience with situations at cc like this?? Anyone in the same boat as me?

Anyone in the same boat as me?I'm not in the same boat as you, but your invoice will usually show your date of purchase, not the date of shipment, so you're probably SOL on the rebate. You could always send it in though, and hope you get lucky. That has worked for me in the past (rebate processing center incompetance being a two edged sword).

I appreciate your reply. Stick with me a bit more...according to cc the date of purchase will read 2/13, not 1/27 (they don't charge your card until it actually ships).

Or are you saying that I got incorrect information from the csr about what the receipt will read (I know that's hard to imagine, ha, ha)?

checked there.. its still uncetain.. ppl here and there with different opinions about.. i eh uninstalling and cant use my lappy after.. its really ah good deal pplz!! ungrade yuh HDD.. and RAM.. jus sweet !

not thinking.. jus pass experience with the vista - xp..( took some time to figure out.. being system programming related.. did some kinda madness for a friend )
