Scrubbing Bubbles Automatic Shower Cleaner is currently on sale for $19.99 at RiteAid with a $5.00 rebate (offer # 134).

You can also print a $5.01 off coupon from automaticshowercleaner.com

It also qualifies for offer # 166, which is buy $25.00 worth of Kimberly-Clark/SC Johnson products, get $10.00 Rite-Aid gift card. So, add a $5.00 Kimberly-Clark/SC Johnson product as a filler and you get the Scrubbing Bubbles for Free.

Note: you dont have to buy the Automatic Shower Cleaner and the $5.00 item at the same item. Personally, I would wait for some deals on items I have coupons for as the Kimberly-Clark / SC Johnson list of product is failry long (ie, huggies, oust, scott, cottonelle, kotex, glade, ziploc, kleenex, etc.)

Good deal. This thing really does work.

good deal, OP! Have been interested in purchasing one, an extra 10 off helps

Cool - thanks! FYI, there is a $5 off coupon in the 1/14 Smartsource, and $7 in 12/3, but it expired yesterday <img src="i/expressions/face-icon-small-sad.gif" border=0>.

Just a heads up, but this thing is loud, obnoxious, and HUGE! I had one for a while, but it kept getting in the way of the shower head in my average sized shower. I also found that it didn't do that great a job for me. The sprayer rotates for 15 seconds spraying the walls. The problem is that it doesn't reach high enough to get all of the wetted surfaces or low enough to get the floors or near the ground. The result was that we had a band across the center that was "clean" and the rest was not. By clean, I mean there was a build up of the cleaning solution that left a residue.

I took it back and just use one of those manual daily shower sprays once in a while. If you have a tub shower, this might be good for keeping the curtain cleaner though...

In my experience the best way to clean the shower curtain is to let it soak in the washing machine overnight with detergent and/or some kind of booster like amonia or Lysol Pine Action. In the morning, let the washer run through the cycle, then remove the curtain and rehang it in the tub (it's a mystery to me why people put shower curtains in the dryer after they come out of the washer, but I digress).

And as for cleaning the shower, I find the following technique works well (might be good to do before putting up a Scrubbing Bubbles shower cleaner just to have a clean base line to start from). Take a shower, wet all the walls, then clean with walls with a bleaching scouring powder and a sponge that has a scrubbing side to it like a Scotch Brite Power Sponge or something similar. Don't rinse. Do NOT use a scouring powder that has blue coloring in it or you'll have blue grout between your tiles when you're done. Let the cleanser dwell on the shower/tub walls and floor overnight. When you shower the next morning, rinse everything off and a LOT of stains and mildew will be gone.

I bought this and it shows on my rebate status credit for #134 $5.00 but the $19.95 didn't credit for #166 the Kimberly-Clark/SC Johnson products.

Ditto.

Same with me it does not show in #166.

this thing got a bad rating from Consumer Reports where mold was growing Link

Question: Does this apply to #166 or no??? I am confused...

You are right - it is confusing, but it DOES count toward #166. I had to rummage around to find my 5.01 more - things count that do NOT show on the picture. I had to call rite aid while I was in the store, the mgr couldn't be bothered to help me. The problem is that the deal states S C Johnson - but not exactly what applies and what doesn't. Good luck - hope you have better customer service than I did today.

I have used this for a while and didn't have the band problem. In fact I can see the spray dripping slowly down the wet shower door. Just my experience with this thing.

This thing is a pain... if they had the bonus caddy version, it would be better. As it is, if you have an over-the-showerhead wire caddy, you have to take that off to use this. It does not clean, but does prevent grime from building up IMHO.

bavonv said: [Q]You are right - it is confusing, but it DOES count toward #166.Did it show up under #166 on your RA rebate account? If it did not, then it did not count.

It is showing up for both rebates now!

yes it is showing in both rebate

I normally hate to threadcrap, but I can't stress enough what a POS this product is. 15 seconds of a spray in your shower does NOT make for a cleaner shower. Get yourself some shower cleaner in a bottle and a $1 sprayer and you've got something better and cheaper.

I tried one, gave it 2 months to prove itself and all it did was let me down. Even tried pressing the button 2 or 3 times to add more cleaner, and it just doesn't work.

Spend your money on something better, cause this thing isn't worth your hard earned cash.

The cleaner did not work, I used the two bottles that came with it and two more.
I got WalMart to refund all and the mfgr sent me a $10.00 coupon good on their other items.
