What on earth are you basing this on? Are you thinking about saccharine from the 70s???

Sheesh... how old and stuck in the past are you?

If he was, he doesn't have to be that old...saccharin carried health warning labels until 2000. wiki

I'm sure the FDA, American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, National Cancer Institute, and Centers for Disease Control (among others) are part of a massive conspiracy to hide the cancerous effects of aspartame.

aspartame, look it up. And yes, I'm 103 years old and stuck in the past.

As I recall the last time I looked this up (after my brother claimed Nutrisweet causes brain cancer), the argument went like this:

Nutrisweet became available in 1984 (or whenever), and here's a chart of the number of reported brain cancers after 1984, which shows an increase in deaths. Therefore, Nutrisweet is responsible for this change.

Add of course a dash of the assumed corporate greed (Monsanto, I think) which made the FDA clueless by use of the usual cover-ups and falsified documentation.

There are similarities between that theory and the "added hormones" in milk is bad for you. Do you know it is banned, banned I say, in Canada and the EU. Of course, they don't tell you that the ban in Canada is not over concern for the health of humans, it is for the cows (mastitus concerns).

So I'm not going to feel guilty about low cost diet soda or saving $1/gallon bying the milk without the "no artificial hormones" "plegde" or light-block bottle.

Awesome deal if it works.

This is a great deal. No need for multiple coupons!! One coupon takes $2 off each 12-pack in your purchase despite the small print of one coupon per item. I got 6 last night for $6 + tax.

Sorry if I'm being anal, but just to clarify, the cashier only has to scan the coupon once and it takes $2 off of each 12-pack no matter how many you have?

Don't miss the coupon for $2 off Astroglide on page 14!!!

I'll take my chances with cancer over the guaranteed heart disease from drinking too much of the real thing.
Clearly this calls for a contest to see who can buy the most 12 packs at one time.

I'm going to try it tonight. First I will just buy a few to make sure it goes smoothly. After that, I may be testing the capacity of the Walgreen's shopping carts

Without them, obesity might become a real problem for this country.

Oh, wait. Never mind.

FYI Coke ZERO Does NOT contain aspartame. They use Splenda. This is why there are two different diet cokes. One with Splenda and one with Aspartame. Same goes for Diet Pepsi and Pepsi One. Pepsi "one" used splenda. Diet pepsi uses aspartame.
The splenda based Coke ZERO seems to taste a little sweeter IMO than the regualer diet coke (aspartame)

On sale here in Appleton WI for 4 for $11. That makes it 75 cents + tax for each 12-pack after the coupon.

Yup, and if you get lucky you might get the wtf/omfg face from the cashier, but that's YMMV.

Nope. You're wrong. Coke Zero (as well as all the "Zero" soda variants) use a combination of aspartame and Ace K (Acesulfame Potassium) sweetners. No splenda (sucralose) at all.

wrong. try guessing again. It contains aspartame. Either way, splenda is probably just as bad.

Ok. Then its just pespi one that has the splenda.

Anyone know if the deal and coupon is good at Happy Harry's (a Walgreen's company)? Based on the website, it should be valid (although I can't pull up the HH ad) but I was wondering if anyone has first hand experience.

Does anyone know if the smaller Walgreen stores (the ones that are just pharmacies) carry soft drinks or is just at the bigger Walgreen stores?
