OP, thanks for the post, but this is not a hot deal. You can get TiVo 80 hour single tuner units "free" after rebate from numerous retailers including this one which has the added benefit of no sales tax for most.
I'm still using my old Phillips Directv/TiVo combo. I wish Directv hadn't abondoned them. They SAY, I can' upgrade to their new units without losing my lifetime TiVo subscription. Yet I just keep seeing a monthly bill coming as soon as I switch.
Anyone w/a lifetime sub switch w/no problems?
