Hey everyone, long time reader, first time poster. If anyone else picked up a Samsung Blackjack before they started bundling the extended battery like I did, we're in luck. Cingular is offering a free extended battery and back cover. Just go to this link, enter your IMEI# and your good to go.

* IMEIs between 352794010030189 - 352794012269959 are eligible for this offer
* Young America will process & fulfill (the folks that do the BestBuy, Circuit City, etc. rebates)
* Fulfillment process may take 2 to 4 weeks

Found this on engadgetmobile. Now if we could only get a free upgrade to WinMo 6.0!

To get your IMEI# type *#06# on phone keypad, or looking under the battery.

coolness! thanks OP

Glad it worked for you too omniviper. I just thought I'd bump this since I did post it kinda late last night. Wouldn't want anyone to missout.

I am lucky. I just bought this phone last week, ordered it over the phone from Cingular, and in the box came an extended battery and case back (instead of an extra standard battery). Well, it had a dead pixel in it, so I went and exchanged it in store, when they exchanged I checked the box contents, and the lady let me swap out the batteries so I could keep my extended battery. Well, since the phone I got in exchange for it an older IMEI, I still apply for this rebate.

Two extended batteries, cha-ching!

Thanks for posting the deal.

Well played sir! lol

To anyone who hasn't done this yet I thought I'd chime back in. Extended battery came today! Hope some other people can get in on this deal.

You gotta love this phone. What compliants can you have now? Battery life is solved.

My "rebate" pacakge came today with the OEM extended batt + batt cover. Here's a blog post with photos of the package and battery...

When did you order it? I am trying to find out how long does it take to receive mine.

Tx OP, just signed up

Sweet thanks, I ordered mine this morning, i got my BlackJack yesterday... I saw this last week on HOFO and bookmarked until I got my IMEI..

By the way, where did you get the battery charger module? Mine came with a home wall charger.

jrsmooth, it took just over two weeks to get here from the time I ordered it.

Poison7fl, everyone I know that ordered the earlier models (before they started including the extended batery in the box) got two regular batteries and the little breakout box to keep the second one charging and at the ready.

I don't know about you guys but I think it's a nice change of pace to get something for nothing after a purchase. (Whether it should have been in the box to begin with is a different story!)

Thanks OP! Liked the phone a lot already- will like it even more now!

If you're looking to buy a Blackjack on e*Bay, beware of the scammer infested waters. Probably 80-90% of the Blackjacks listed on eBay are being sold without the extended battery BUT the sellers have applied for the free extended batteries--you won't be able to get one (they sell them off separately for around $50).

Just another reason e*Bay sucks for stuff like cell phones. Look for a listing where the seller explicitly says the phone comes with the EXTENDED battery, or else ASK before buying to see if the phone is elibible for the extended battery. (Note that the phone comes with two standard batteries, so if they say it comes with two batteries, that doesn't mean you're getting the EXTENDED battery).
