Reviews are mostly good, only thing which is mentioned over and over is that the fan is very loud.

anyone know if the SLI interface will work with another 7600gs but from a different manufacturer? I have an XFX 7600GS and wanted to make a SLI setup, but have yet to find another cheap duplicate.

Here's a quote:
"Can I mix and match graphics cards? In order to provide optimal symmetric scaling, SLI technology requires the NVIDIA GPUs to match. For example, a GeForce 7800 GTX must be paired with another GeForce 7800 GTX. Likewise, a GeForce 6600 GT must be paired with another GeForce 6600 GT. However, using the latest Release 80 or later graphics drivers, NVIDIA GPUs sold by different manufacturers can be used together in an SLI configuration. For example, a GeForce 7800 GT from vendor ABC can be matched with a GeForce 7800 GT from vendor XYZ."
In other words, if you have a 7600GS from EVGA and a 7600GS from Chaintech, assuming you have drivers of revision 80 or higher, it should work. You can't mix a 7600GS with a 7600GT though. Also, unless you do some tweaking with software, they should have the same amount of memory or you will run into problems...
There is a big difference between the 7600GS and the 7600GT. For reference THIS REVIEW compares the two models. Looks like the 7600GS is opnly a little faster than a 6600GT.

Price at ClubIT just dropped another dollar. Now $86.99 (minus $20 rebate ($66.99). I just ordered one yesterday, wonder if they will adjust the price by a dollar...
I also bought a Zalman VF700-Cu LED cooler from my local CompUSA. They are going out of business and had 30% off which brought it down to $28 plus tax. That was about the same price the Newegg's and ClubIT's have it although they charge shipping. So not a great really, but somehow I don't think I would have bought this online. Anyway, this should take care of the loud fan which supposedly comes with this card.

oh and if they want to play hardball, mention that you refusing the delivery, just to reorder the same items for $1 less would cost them way more than $1 in man-time to process.
Only costs slightly more, if you don't mind the rebate hoops to jump through, plus the fact that it's currently OOS (so you'll have to wait for it to come back). Just gotta ask yourself if a GT is worth a few bucks more.

Just gotta ask yourself if a GT is worth a few bucks more. I saw this yesterday at my local Fry's (B&M at DFW), the eVGA 7900GS KO is again on sale for $120 after $80 rebate. I received my rebate in good time from eVGA.

eVGA's rebate company, Parago, sucks. Don't expect to receive your rebate, even if it is properly filled out. Parago had my rebate for a month before processing, so they could reject it w/o the possibility of resubmission.
Check out all of the eligibility requirements, and fill out everything legibly. Scan all of your rebate forms, UPC, reciept, and send it to the company.
Despite scanning everything and, for politeness, highlighting my graphics card on the reciept (large order), they denied it as "Missing Receipt"! I was livid.
To make a long story short, eVGA is a member of the Better Business Bureau, and if you complain to the BBB that you properly filled out the rebate and documented it, they'll force Parago to authorize the rebate.
Parago is a bad rebate company, see the Consumerist.
Anyhow, before I rant into infinity...
I have the eVGA 7600GT from Newegg. It is super nice, and the value/performance is outstanding.
The GS is cheaper, but seemingly not better: Bottom line is, if you can afford the slight difference in cost go for the 7600GT as it will prove valuable in the longer run. But if you are more of a casual gamer willing to spend this amount of cash on a videocard, you can't go wrong with the GS version either. from Techspot.com
If you want to pay a little more for the GT (worth it IMO), the GT is availible at Newegg for $115 shipped (tax in NJ...), minus ten for the rebate. $105 is a good price for the card. And $68 is an excellent price for the card. It might be worth $40 to get a card that lasts longer, I personally believe the 7600GT has a better value.

PARDON MY IGNORANCE, BUT DO THE CARDS WITH ONE VGA AND ONE DVI HANDLE TWO LCD'S AT ONCE?

I don't think I'll go that far just for one dollar. I'll email them, and if that doesn't work, oh well.
I agree about the GT, it's definitely faster, but I've been itching to get a new graphics card for my Dell Dimension 9100 and the GS was the first one to hit the price point I was looking for. Also I have seen a lot of people who say this card worked well with their Dell with the 350W PS, and I haven't been able to figure out quite how much the GT needs in terms of power...
But for those who have a more powerful PS, I would probably suggest going for the GT, or since this rebate seems to be sticky, wait for the GT to get cheaper in another deal which I'm sure will happen soon.

To answer your question, it depends on your LCD. If you only have DVI on your LCD monitor (highly unlikely) then you'd need an adapter, if you have DVI and VGA, you can run one monitor DVI, one VGA.
