Newegg A-Data 1GB DDR2 So-Dimm $52 free S/H no stinkin rebates.
Seems hot to me, anything wrong with A-Data? Reviews look good, just not for people with Mac book pro's.

Linky poo

You can still get 1GB of Patriot from Newegg for $58.99 after $20 rebate HERE

And don't forget that if you signed up for the PayPal $15 rebate, today is the last day to buy something and qualify for it.

Better deal for PQI memory here, and only $15 rebate. PQI memory

Sorry for my ignorance. WHat's the difference between PC2 5300 and PC2 5400?

That's a very good deal for that price.
I am running a 256MB DDR2 PC4200 (400Mhz) stick along with one 1GB DDR2 PC5300 (667Mhz) stick in my Dell 1300 and no problem whatsoever. The 1GB DDR2 PC5300 will only run at the PC4200 speed though but works just great.
And even with 1.250 GB of RAM, IEXPLORER will just eat up everything overtime (WinXP).
I heard that Vista is even worst. I think a minimum of 2GB RAM is a standard to keep it up.
Green for you OP.

I am looking to buy 2GB worth of memory. Is buying a kit better than buying 2 separate sticks? I've read that a kit works better, but does it matter if the 2 separate sticks are the same?
