I own this monitor and would recommend it to anybody. It looks great and offers a lot more options than any other monitor in its price range. Best black Friday purchase last year by far.
oh it's a multimedia monitor... so apparently normal monitors can't be used for playing movies because they're not multimedia certified ??
No, because it has component connectors so you can easily hook up a videogame system or dvd player. It's a really nice option.

Normal monitors don't have RCA, S-video or component connectors. If you use only HDMI, DVI or VGA for all video needs, then any monitor with DVI/VGA will be adequate. It just depends on your particular situation.
