How do you people enjoy 128 or worse bitrate mp3s?
I'd rather listen to NIN in cd quality. Of course I also don't listen on cheap speakers or earbuds, but on $300 speakers and Onkyo receiver. But that's just me, an audiophile, if you'd rather give me red because of my OPINION, then go right ahead.
EDIT: Even if it's 256 bitrate, no go. Cd quality is FLAC, which is 1000 bitrate. mp3 cannot even touch it.
Just to correct your statement, CD's do not have a bitrate in a traditional sense compared to compressed data. They would technically be 1411 kbps, however this data comprises a lot of sounds you cannot hear and is not optimized for compression at all. I doubt almost any audiophile could distinguish a 320kbps mp3 from a cd. In fact I'm betting if you tried the blind hearing test between 256kbps and cd, you would guess wrong half the time. |

Edit: BTW, you're totally right; There is hardly, if any, perceivable difference. |

Lets not get off topic with arguing about the quality of mp3s. |

I was going to say something similar. Some decent music, but the last few singles have made me want to claw my ears off. In fact, just thinking about them tightens my bladder. |

FYI: The songs are at 256 MHZ no they're not... only bitrate="56". |

Any hints on how to do this? |

Seriously, HALO0, I know you can judge for yourself. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but do you really believe this is as good as the fragile, broken, the downward spiral or pretty hate machine?
Are there that many fans claiming this is just as good? |

I'm not sure yet. I've only listened to it a few times. Personally I think the downward spiral is the best album he's ever done and I don't think he will ever be able to top it in my eyes. That said, I am really digging this CD so far. Not just the songs themselves, many of which I really like, but also the back story and concept he has built up around them is really cool.
I don't know what any other fans are claiming, I haven't talked to any. |

Take each track URL like http://http.vitalstreamcdn.com/sparkart2_vitalstream_com/sparkart/nyz/01Hyperpower.flv and enter it at http://www.flv2mp3.com/ after you click the url to FLV file button. Fill out the rest of the info and hit upload. You will instantly get an email with a link to the mp3 file. Right click on the link and "Save target as" to download to your computer. Remember to rename the track.
Thanks additive for the xml link
This is just one way to get the tracks into MP3 format
Worked for me, thanks, and thanks OP for the heads up. |
