they are also doing this deal at game stop

i was just wondering, in what condition does the old nintendo ds need to be in?

alert mods

i've traded in some consoles w/ EB before. if it's handheld, they just turn it on, see if it works. i traded in a PS2 and they did not bother checking anything.

As long as it works they'll take it. They're suppose to test it with a game.

Okay, I'm dumb. What does SP mean?

Nationwide?

SP is a gameboy advance with backlight, it came as a clamshell.

thats because game stop bought EBgames

Out of curiousity how much did they give you for your PS2?

I called the other day and they said they would give me $25 each for the two PS2's, originial boxes + extra Playstation branded controller each.

I passed.

Also, they will offer $25 for the SP at my store. You just have to have the charger.

So an original DS is presumably worth $60 towards a DS Lite (129-69). Would they apply the $60 towards a PSP? Also, if the Gamebo SP is worth $25, will they allow combinations? Thanks.

EBgames tradeins are awful. You can get a much better price for your gear on eBay and buy a new NDS outright.

well my ds is a piece of sh**

i found it outside on the lawn
its all scratched up and the touch screen is "off center" i cant even align it because half of the screen is more accurate then the other half.

re: my PS2, i did it 2 years ago when the deal was trade in PS2 + 5 games to get a PS2 Mini. my PS2 was skipping badly, so I went to my local game store and bought 5 EA Sports title from 2001 for $3 and brought it to EB and got a PS2 Mini.

I was told, YMMV, but if you trade in a PS2 with a controller, you get $100 off a PS3. Haven't been able to confirm that but a buddy of mine said the EB by him was doing this promo.

Is this a new DS Lite or a used DS Lite they give you?

ok..i have a ds original. Why would i trade that in AND pay $69 for a dslite? Its little smaller and sleeker but what else?

DS lite also has a much brighter screen.

I just did this with mine. My DS was getting old and the battery was starting to suck...why buy a battery when I can trade up for a new one? (Yup, it's for a new one for 69 bucks) I always have some games lying around I'm done with so it was about 25 bucks w/ DS Phat and games for me and the new screen is MUCH better...wish I woulda done it months ago. The contrast on this screen is much better, I don't have to stare straight on at it either, viewing angle is much better.
