It wouldn't shock me to see Microsoft release a Blu-Ray drive for the XBOX360. It wouldn't shock me to see the XBOX360 released in many different colors. It would shock me to see pigs fly out of my butt, however. Definitely not... but it'd be shocking.

Checked at the local Sams this evening (31419). Price is $126.97. Their system said they had 3 in stock, but there were only 2 in the cage. The box out on display was open and had the manual in it, nothing else. Looks like someone got a 5 finger discount on one.

I found one in San Diego (it was a demo. no box) and they wanted $159.99 for it. They said they would not price match from a Sam's club out of the area.

I called the one in lemongrove/college blvd yesterday and they said they had 4 in stock. Didn't try Vista.

Ya, this was a bust. I checked 2 Sam's in Houston. ONe on rice, the other on fry in katy.

Rice: $171 (3 in stock)
Fry: $151 (? in stock)

Sams @ Beltline in Addison, TX had one on the shelf. Price lookup was $181.xx. I forgot to ask how many they showed in stock.

All the Sams in the STL area are $181 as well - one of the stores only had one in stock - still $181.

So I checked the San Diego stores (vista and lemongrove) as well as 2 of the vegas stores. Either they didn't have it in stock, or the price was still $182.

Mind you, $182 isn't a terrible price for this- it's cheaper than anywhere else you can find it. But it's not $72.54.

Oh well.
